The ohms rating measures the electrical resistance of the subs(impedance). On the subs there is usually a label that tells you what the impedance is for that particular sub, example= 4 ohms . The only way you can get to a 1 ohm load or less with a pair of tens is if each sub has dual voice coils that are 4 ohms each wired in parallel. Generally Sony xplod's are a single coil 4 ohm woofer-yours might be the exception in this case .To figure out your resistance say with 2 subs that are 4 ohms you have to know how you intend to wire them for instance if your amp puts out a fair amount of power @2 ohms and thats the number you want to hit than you will want to wire the subs in parallel( + to + and - to -) wiring in parallel lowers the resistance.(ohms) If you want to hit 1 ohm and you have dual 4 ohm coils then wire all 4 coils in parallel and that will then be a 1 ohm load. Its simply a matter of dividing the ohms by the number of speakers that you intend to connect. if you had 3 10s that were 4 ohms each and you wired them in parallel the ohms would be 1.33 (as 4 divided by 3 is 1.33)(4 divided by 2 is 2) (4 divided by 4 is 1) On the flip side wiring in series will raise your impedance-a pair of 4 ohm subs wired in series gives you an 8 ohm load 3 subs gives you 12 ohms and so on. I wouldnt worry about the high current switch unless youre planning on taking it down below 1 ohm which it sounds like you arent currently set up for.

Need a 12 volt relay with operating current less than 0.1 amp and switching current below 1 amp

most relays run on 9v up and can be from 0.1 amp up to 1 amp but it depends on the pin type. 5 pin or 4 or 3. 3 pin is live feed type. 4 and 5 pin are separate feeds one to the switch and then the power from what you want to use feeds the circuit. if its on a volvo as stated you will need a high rating amp type as it will just burn out.

How to get 2 omhs

Look on your speakers to see what ohm they're rated at currently. To get 4 ohm speakers to 2 ohm, simply wire the speakers in series. Meaning that you hook #2 sub to #1 sub and then to the amp. So you will have 1 connection to the amp but you'll be operating 2 subs. Hope this helps

I have a model SE826 6/2 amp charger i just dont under stand the gage some times te needle is on the top half scale and other times it is on the bottom scale I guess i need to know what the needle is...

When the batt is very low, the needle should show high amperage flow, red zone or high number. As the charge builds up slowly in the batt, then the needle will slowly move lower or green zone as less and less is flowing into batt. As it fills, it will fill more slowly.

Sometimes when batt is very low, it may take some time for the flow to get going, so it may look low to begin with, then go higher after half to one hour. This might also indicate a battery going bad but not gone yet.

A car battery on 6 amp will take several hours to fill. On 2 amp maybe 2 - 3 days.
If you find it looks like batt is full quickly and then fails to provide enough power, it means a part of the battery is defective which is hurting all of it, and whole thing must be replaced.

What is current

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electric_current

Explains what electrical current is.

But as for your amp, it means that your amp can handle high power going through the amp without shutting down or being blown up. As your impedance(resistance) drops on the amp, more power the amp will put out....

Year old Bosch SHU33A0UC won't start. Lights on

Light's on mean you have power.

Initiate the self test program by doing the following -

To start test program, press and hold both POWER SCRUB PLUS and RINSE & HOLD program buttons, then turn unit on
by pressing ON/OFF button. When program buttons are released, lights above them will flash. To end test program, press
ON/OFF button.
To check program indicator lights (POWER SCRUB PLUS, REGULAR WASH and RINSE & HOLD), press and hold each
program button. When REGULAR WASH program button is pressed, CLEAN light also comes on.
To start testing, press both POWER SCRUB PLUS and RINSE & HOLD buttons a second time. When testing has ended
and a fault was detected, the following indicator lights will be lit:
POWER SCRUB PLUS = Heater fault
REGULAR WASH = Water filling fault (over or under filling)
RINSE & HOLD = NTC (temperature sensor) fault – note circulation motor stops shortly after it started
during an NTC fault
To check for heater, high limit or flow switch problems, start testing until heating starts. Using a meter with a current coil,
measure current going into dishwasher. If current is ~ 11 A, then heater, high limit and flow switch are OK. If current stays
at ~ 1.5-2 A, then heater, high limit or flow switch are faulty.
If water level switch (f1) has failed (opened), REGULAR WASH light will come on and unit will continually fill and drain
where testing won't be completed. If flow switch (e5) has failed (opened), water won't heat (to 150ºF) and water won’t stop
circulating. If NTC probe (f2/f4) has failed (opened), RINSE & HOLD light will come on immediately and testing will end
shortly after water has started circulating.
If more than one fault occurs, more than one light will be lit.

Let me know what you figure out. I can repair these boards most of the time.

Fan will not work on high (5)

http://www.physics.sjsu.edu/becker/physics51/images/27_01_Resistors_in_series_and_parallel.JPG

Ok i know this might be a little difficult to understand. BUt If you click on the link above. Find Diagram (a), That picture represents your switch, not complete but in theory. each Resistor means a Different speed. As you turn the Dial it applys current to all the resistor depending on which one it points to. As you can see the (i) represents current and lets say R3 represents "speed 5" Well in theory the less resistors the fast the speed. So the at low speed the dial will be pointing to R1 at medium fan speed the dial will point at R2 and at high Speed "speed 5" the Dial points to R3. Less Resistance More Current More Current more Speed. Now You have No R3...
This basiclly means that the who switch wihich includes Warm and cold and 1,2,3,4,5 and Defrost etc need to be replaced for 5 to work again.

No solution Replace switch

My MRD-M300 amp will stop working when I turn the volume up and E-3 will come up on the amp. I know E-3 means there is too much current and I have tried changing the settings on the amp but it will still...

There are a few things you should check:

Check that you have the correct fuse on your power cable. If it is allowing too much current, the protection feature of the amp will kick in. Similarly if the resistance is too high, there will not be enough current to power the amplifier.

You may also want to check the earth/ground cable to ensure that it has a good connection.

Try increasing the gain slightly on the amplifier (not too much or you will blow something). This will mean that you don't have to turn the head unit volume too high to get a loud output.

Nice amp BTW.
