Question about Logitech EX100 967499-0403 Keyboard

2 Answers

I was using my EX 100 wireless keyboard and mouse when the mouse stopped working. The keyboard worked for a little while, then it stopped working. I already switched out both of their batteries, tried to connect them back with the usb wireless connector, and don't know what else to do!

    2 things:
    1. I am using these devices on a Mac and did not have to download software. I also know they work on this computer because I've used them on it for multiple months
    2. Where is this switch? I see the red connect button, but I don't see any switch?

Sorry to hear that you are still having trouble with your Logitech Cordless Desktop EX 100. Question after you replaced the batteries have you tried rebooting you computer. Alot of times mouse and keyboard devices have to be reinitialized by a reboot if they get disconnected.

Also what kind of batteries are you using. Alot of time standard Alkaline batteries do not have enough wattage to power modern electronics. You may need to start using recharageable Lithium-ion battery because they have higher wattages. It all has to do how the Alkaline battery was made. I remember when I worked at Creative Tech support and we opened a brand new pack of Alkaline batteries and they would not power a MP3 player but we opened another patch from the same manufacture and they worked fine. So the first package had a lower wattage.

Also note if you are already using a rechargeable battery it is possible that you have come to the end of life on those batteries.

If you still have trouble I would try your Logitech Cordless Desktop EX 100 on another computer to see if you are still having trouble.

Let me know if you have any more problems or questions.

There is switch on keyboard for turn on bluetooth connection to usb wireless connector.
Turn it on.
If still same issue then uninstall usb driver and keyboard driver from computer then reinstall it then it works.
You can uninstall driver from device manager right click on my computer icon then click on property then hardware->device manager uninstall all usb driver then it install usb drivers automatically then uninstall keyboard wireless driver then reinstall from disk which cokes with keyboard when you bought it.
Then it works again .
Let me know if you need further assistance.

What is logitech 810-000755 used for or what does it do

810-000755 is the part number for the Logitech C-bt44 USB receiver for the Logitech Cordless Desktop EX 100. See http://support.logitech.com/en_us/product/cordless-desktop-ex-100-product/faq#link_19321 . This is the section of the FAQ on using the EX 100 with other USB receivers. The receiver lets select Logitech wireless keyboards and mice communicate with the computer that has this device plugged in. The 810-000755 also works with the Logitech cordless desktop (keyboard/mice) EX 110, and the MK 300. There may be other keyboards and mice that communicate with this receiver. However, newer Logitech keyboards and desktops (keyboard/mice) may not use this receiver.

I hope this helps. Note: the EX 100 uses 2 alkaline AA batteries in the keyboard and 2 alkaline AA batteries in the mouse to communicate with the receiver. I believe the other keyboards and desktops that can communicate with the 810-000755 also use alkaline batteries which last ~6 months before they must be replaced.

Connect an additional wired keyboard to your pc. And when the freeze happens check if the pc responds at all, using the wired keyboard. If its not responding , its an indication of a faulty PSU or motherboard.

Hi there,
Underneath the mouse and the keyboard will be buttons labeled "Connect", you will need to resync with the receiver plugged into your computer. Press the connect button on each device in turn and it will attempt to resync.
If this does not work the next thing is to test with fresh batteries, however it is unlikely that both the keyboard and the mouse would run out at the same time.
Finally try with the receiver right next to the keyboard/mouse, sometimes other devices can interfere with wireless signals (WiFi networks, microwaves, vacuum cleaners etc...).
Good luck!

I have two sets of this product and when they are both being used at the same time one will stop working completely, help.

Hello,

These units work on a radio frequency and if you have two units close together they will interfere with each other. The one that is closer to the receiver or has a stronger battery will usually win the battle. The next problem is they both use the same frequency and it can not be changed. The best option is to get a different brand of wireless keyboard or try a bluetooth keyboard. Bluetooth keyboards operate differently and can be used near each other.

I hope this helps, if so please rate our solution.

Logitech ex 100 mouse doesn't work

Normal 0 Turn the mouse over and find the small rest/connect button on the bottom of the mouse and press it to Reset/Connect the mouse to the receiver and work properly.
If not, try pressing the receiver button and then press the mouse. This should be done whenever you change batteries or glitch.
Hope this helps you. Bud
