I am looking for the install disk for this camera. I bought the camera on Ebay (NIB) but either the seller took the software or it was missing and the manufacturer forgot to add it to the box. Do you know where I can find the software? I have looked at the JVC website but was unable to find the software for it. I have looked everywhere for it and can't find it. If you know a link or a website that has it will you let me know please? Thank you

Re: software and drivers
This camera would have come with PowerDirector for editing video, Power Producer
for authoring and burning DVDs, and PowerDVD for viewing DVDs. This software is not free, but you can get a 30 day free trial from the makers of the software at
You can get PowerDirector, PowerProduser, PowerDVD, and 7 more products from the above for $79.95, but try the free trial first !

when you bought the camera,is the seller give you the driver CD? normally, windows 7 doesn't need any driver to connect a device, there's might be an error when the windows installed the driver I recomend you to go to the Device Manager, uninstall the current driver, and try to connect your camera again, the windows will re-install the driver automatically And if you can't find the driver on the internet, you can go to the shop and ask for the driver CD If those doesn't fix your problem, give me the detail series of your camera and i'll search the internet for it :-)
Downloading the manual and drivers are easily found by simply Googling you camera and adding either driver or manual to the end but to get the original DVD with all the software you would have to contact Samsung themselves or their agent. It will of course cost you but not too much I'd imagine. Anoother way is to keep a check on Ebay and if you see the same model for sale send the seller an email and offer him say $10 to copy the disk and send it to you. Some camera sellers on Ebay are actually large stores so they could well have a spare they can send you. Just don't expect anything for free and offer to pay. Who knows you may end up getting it for free anyway.
I have just solved this problem for video - not checked audio as using it for stop frame animation. Just bought a USB Video adapter - Easycap and used the JVC Everio DV mini jack to red white and yellow phono into usb via adapter, install software and off you go. I bought a really cheap one to check-Under £10 new on ebay, also S video compatible. Perhaps a more expensive adapter may give better quality image, can also now transfer old VHS from videoplayer to PC-
Also possible to buy an internal capture card.to slot into your motherboard if you are up for that.
I was just googling to find the OS X driver for my new Mitsuba DV55F, when I can across this article..
I'm running 10.4.11, and my Mac recognizes the camera, and I can transfer videos and pics over through Finder, but iPhoto and iMovie don't seem to recognize it, so I figured it was a driver issue...
Not surprisingly, my dealer disappeared in the night as well... That's what happens when you buy cheap cameras off eBay... ;)
I'll come back and post a solution if I ever find one..
