Question about Nokia 6300 Cellular Phone

Unable to access game saves?

The memory card on my Nokia 6300 will no longer save games... :(

I downloaded a dozen or so and they all worked fine in the past... i.e. saved games were accessible.

Now, when I attempt to access a saved game it does not find it on the memory card. I should add that this problem is only encountered once I have closed and re-opened an application. As long as an application remains open, the save games remain viable.

In an attempt to fix the problem I moved all the files from the card to my PC and then re-formatted the phone memory. I then copied the .jar files back to the memory card root directory of the re-formatted phone. The problem is still the same... although the oldest games I have on there appear unaffected (I.e save games are still accessible)?

when i look at the drive via my pc, I can see that each .jar file has generated .rms (save?) files. However the games dont seem to see or access these files?

Does anyone have any suggestions? Any help would be most appreciated.

There is one game on there (Nowhere by Devalley) that continues to function normally and will save new games? This game has been on there for a while... Games have been installed since this one that have worked fine up until yesterday?

ok... I've just worked out the solution....

for some reason the .jar files had stopped producing the necessary .jad file counterparts?

so I use a program called Jadmaker to create .jad files and then copied all the files back to my mobile phone.

I had to delete all the existing .rms files to allow the games to make new saves... but at least they can actually make new saves now!

You will have to erase some of the files currently on your card in order to allow for these games to fit on it as well. I suggest you copy the music files onto your computer.. then delete them from the card..then download the games to the card.

don't worry. just make a backup of your personal data such as songs, images, games that are in the memory card. save that backup in your pc or if a have required space in your cell so save that backup there. now formate your memory card. after that replace all your data and then try receiving again. it will work, for sure.

Whenever i try to take photo the camera turns to

probably ther isn't enough space left in ur phone memory try deleting to clear up unwanted stuff.
If there is space both in ur phone as well as memory card then rearrange all items in the memory card to specified folders. like if there are items that show outside the folders then dump them into the folders and this will solve ur problem.
This is strange but try it all will be ok. Next time when u want to format ur memory card see that u do it with the phone itself and not through a PC

Hi,

Try reformatting the memory card with a PC and card reader. This could solve your problem. Make sure you back up important data from your card before doing so.
