Try this below....

At the end of this are three links to programs that you should load up and run. The first is MalwareBytes Ant-Malware Tool, the other is Avast Anti-Virus 4.8, and Threatfire….. install these three and let them perform scans and monitor the system.

Run MalwareBytes first and perform a quick scan, when it finishes, it will ask you to post the results, when it does delete everything it finds.
Run Avast and install it, when it asks, go ahead and schedule a pre-boot scan of your entire system. This should get rid of most problems….Now, install Threatfire and it will monitor all the web pages and attempt to keep you out of harms way.

Possible corrupt operating system. The cause of corrupt operating system is Windows file corrupted or virus infected Windows.

Solution corrupt Windows files:
1. START - All Programs - Accessories - System Tools - System Recovery Options - System Restore (restore to the date when the OS is still normal)
2. START - All Programs - Accessories - System Tools - System Recovery Options - System Image Recovery (restore using a backup system that you created)

Solution files corrupted due to virus infected windows
Update anti-virus and virus scan (if the virus is detected, the primary action = repair, secondary action = quarantine). Then repair the operating system with System Restore or System Recovery Options.
Note:
If the operating system infected with virus (virus infected not long ago), the best solution is to use System Restore. Restore to a date when the windows are still normal.

Computer freezes less than 5 min and screen goes white before it reboots itself. Laptop has less than 10hr on it.

If laptop has less than 10hr, it may still be covered by an exchange policy at the store where you bought it which is one possible option to resolve your problem. Anyways, here are some possible freezing causes...
1. hard disk drive has defective sectors (not likely but possible which is why there is exchange)
2. virus infection (pc usually come with a firewall and antivirus which you must activate)
3. conflict between two firewalls, two antivirus or two spyware/malware programs (suppose to only run one of each but often an antivirus program includes features like an internet security suite). To resolve, need to turn off or de-install the program(s) causing the overlapping conflicts.

On the 2nd Tuesday of every month, Microsoft releases a free tool to address virus infections. The tool is called Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool. It is usually downloaded in an infected computer's hard drive but if this cannot be done, the tool can be loaded into a USB stick or thumbdrive on another computer then inserted into the infected computer's USB port to be run. Microsoft also has online tools to scan and remove malware. For more information and download go to .... http://www.microsoft.com/security/pc-security/malware-removal.aspx

When I plug it into my laptop my usb reads it but no files are showing

Your Storage Device might have infected by virus/worms etc.. So before you do anything, scan with an updated antivirus. Perhaps the virus made your files and folders hidden. After you scan the Device, go open any folder - click Tools - Folder Options - 8366140.jpg

Click View tab - Click the Radio Button "Show hidden files and folders" - Again Uncheck the "Hide
def3cd6.jpg
Protected Operating System file" - click Apply - Ok.. and see if you can see any files in the storage device. If you do so, you'll notice that the icons of the folders fade (pale yellow) and when you check the properties of the folder you'll will see the "Hidden" checked and faded, means you can't make any changes with it. It is best to move the files and folders within the folder which are infected, and delete the infected folders after resolving the problem. Reverse the process with the folder option after you successfully resolve...

Can go on youtube?

This issue occurs if the Computer is infected by any virus. Scan the Computer by any good Anti-virus/Internet Security application (Kaspersky or ESET or Norton) to detect and remove the virus.

If you very familiar with the Computer then:

Open the Task Manager, close (End Task) any unknown/malicious process running in background under your User Account (like svchost running under your User account only not under SYSTEM or LOCAL SERVICE).

Then try opening YouTube.

I suggest that you better scan your full Computer with any good and updated AntiVirus application to resolve the issue.

If the AntiVirus application is unable to detect any virus in the Computer then try opening the YouTube in the SAFE MODE WITH NETWORKING to determine whether the Computer is infected with the virus.

If you are able to open the YouTube in the SAFE MODE WITH NETWORKING then the Computer is definitely infected with virus then reinstalling the Operating System is the only option to remove the virus from the Computer to resolve the issue.
