Question about HP OfficeJet 5110 All-In-One InkJet Printer
It was working, then I started getting this message. When I remove and replace the printer does its thing, and then when the carraige gets to the right it starts making a very ugly rasping noise. I've been through all the re intializations suggested by the HP website and an online tech. Kept on making the noise and giving the error message.
In the end, I was told to get a new color cartridge. But that's 40 bucks, and no doubt I'll need a similarily priced black soon. A new Canon MX310 can be had for $90. Any chance HP is right about the problem?
I irretrievably broke the machine trying to get the carriage to move and bought a new Canon MX310 for $90, just slightly more than I would have paid for new ink cartridges.
