try unplugging the base to reset it. That voicemail signal is set on or off by your phone service provider. Check with them to see if a: you have v-mail or b: they can reset it

Program the clock. There are a some buttons on the back of the base unit that sets day of the week, hour, and minute.

If you had a power failure the memory may have been affected. CL is the clock. Set the time and date on the lower right hand side of answering machine.

call your phone service and have them disconnect the voice mail and if they cant just remove that have them set there rings at like 9 since most phones only have up to 5 rings for the machine to answer.you will have to use there voice mail service to hear your message and then delete it but should be good after that. i have comcast and they said it would take 3 days to deactivate voice mail but told me how to get there so i can get rid of that flashing light, hope this helps you

The blinking " CL " is the code that tells you the clock needs setting, any type of power interuption will cause this . To set this , Look to the back of the answer machine / dock there you can set the day and time by holding in the desired button untill it reaches the desired setting.
