Question about LG WM-2277HW Front Load Washer
How do you get rid of the moldy smell from the LG front load washer?
If you smell mold, then you most likely have some growing in your machine. The only thing that will truly get rid of it is Chlorine Bleach. I would run an empty Normal hot water wash cycle with one cup of chlorine bleach-let it dry out with the lid/door open overnight and if necessary, repeat this the next day. Also get a cloth or sponge and, wearing gloves and old clothes, wipe down where you don't normally see things-like under the seal or agitator. Depending upon where your washer is located you may have to repeat this a few times but remember that mold likes WET places and keep your washer as DRY as possible when not in use.

There are some products out there that you can purchase from any Walmart or Grocery chain but what works real well is a mixture of concentrated lemon juice and water. You can make a permanent solution for this use by taking a spray bottle and filling wih 2/3 water and the rest lemon juice, (concentrated), and praying this around the boot and then wiping dry.
