Question about Canon PIXMA MP780 All-In-One InkJet Printer
My black ink will not print. Do I have to have both black cartride full for it to print writting? It prints pictures fine and they have black in them but wont print black writting. What is the problem?
The larger of the two black cartridges is used for text only printing.
The saller cartridge is used for black in graphic images or pictures.
This saves you color ink . It allows you to put the black ink on the image without making the color inks blend the black ink.

The needed answer is how to tell the printer to print black without the large black cartridge. Don's response really doesn't help. Hopefully, he can tell us more.
