Make sure that you clean your cookies and ****. You can access your internet cleaning options by pressing this combination Ctrl+Shift+Delete. You can choose what you would like to delete there. Ususally deleting cookies and web history will work. Now if you delete web history, then you will have to enter the address into the bar again. Thereafter, it will continue to keep your history. It is a good rule of thumb to clean your cache every couple of weeks.

Can't log on to facebook for 2 days now says account is unavailable due to site issues.

Tina,
This happens occasionally on Facebook accounts. I have recently had the same message and I was offline for roughly 3 days. The error message is a very generic message that Facebook sends out for various reasons. After long discussions with Facebook support I learned that this message will commonly come up when they are performing maintenance on a server that holds the database that your account resides in. They ask that you be patient and your service should return soon.
If you are still unable to gain access to your account within another 24-48 hours you may consider contacting Facebook support. To do this you may need to create another temporary Facebook account.
Best of luck.

Was on facebook and out of the blue was sent to a page stating my account was temporarilly unavailable due to a sire issue. It's been hours and I need help!!! I am a disabled woman who lives on...

From reading your problem, it sounds like facebook may be doing some maintenance or updating their service. From the message you posted it does not appear your account was actually banned or removed.

Keep checking back periodically and I am sure everything will be fine once the maintenance or updates are complete.

Cant log in, says my account is temporarily unavailable, its been 8 hours. Says the site is under maintenance

Hi,

Site Maintenance message usually means that Facebook is making an improvement to the database and after the maintenance is over, you will be able to login to your account without any problem.

Usually, this maintenance process takes just a few hours and affects only few users at a time.

If the "maintenance error" lasts longer than 24 hours and you are still unable to login to your account, kindly report the issue to Facebook Support by clicking this link.

Hope this solves your problem. Thanks for using FixYa.

I haven't been able to log in for about 5 days now. The error message says that this is due to "site maintenance" which would only take a few hours. Facebook says they are working on the problem, but...

Facebook has finally posted something about everyone not being able to log it. It only took them 5-6 days!! I have not been able to log in since 10/4/09) But this is what was on my page when I tried to log in this morning (10/9/09). It's about time that they let us know something. So, who know how much longer we will have to wait!

"Sorry, due to site maintenance, your account is unavailable at this time. We are currently experiencing an extended site maintenance issue that is preventing some users from accessing their accounts or Pages they may administer. Rest assured that your account has not been deleted or compromised. Your original account will be restored as soon as possible so there is no need to create a new one. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience you've encountered while attempting to log in to Facebook during this time.

You can stay updated with the progress of this bug by visiting the Help Center."
