There is a review of this TV on: www.dooyoo.co.uk/television/panasonic/ Take a look at it to see if this describes your problem. He doesn`t think much of the circuits in the TV.

The only thing I can suggest is try lowering the contrast and/or brightness controls.

Toshiba 32AF45 CRT TV Distortion and Flicker During Moments of High Contrast?

Check its main power regulator section circuit. Replace all the electrolytic capacitors there. This is a power supply fault.

I have waveing in my tv

Hello
Picture waving can be due to many reasons. The first reason is ariel connection. Check it first for tight and not loose contacted. Second one is due to the main filter capacitor connected across the main rectified power supply DC. If the capacitor goes value reduced or opened, waves may occur. If this is the reason, picture will show blooming effect also. Check the mair rectifier bridge also. gopakumar1@hotmail.com

Colour is rainbow effect on tv,starts as a semi circle near the bottom of screen then has another two/three colours up the screen?

May be PURITY on the tube, an effect of older CRT tubes caused by a build up of magnetism around the screen, easilt cured with what is known as a magic wand. An electrical wand that produces a magnetic field and is waved in front of the screen to de-magnetise it.

VIDEO TAPE WHEN PLAYED WAVE AT THE TOP OF THE TV SCREEN

This is a common problem usually seen when playing copy protected tapes. The part of the picture affected is normally off the top of the screen. Sometimes the problem is also due to the VCR itself and differences in tapes. It's also possible for the TV itself to be causing this, although you would probably also notice this flag-waving (that's what it's called) on regular TV viewing if that were true.

Sometimes increasing the height of the picture can push the affected area off the top again. But this can also cause you to lose part of the picture you want. Also, the height adjustment may be difficult to find as it's not something normally used. On some TV's it's a small pot somewhere on the board, but most newer sets have electronic adjustments through a service menu that you need to know how to access.

I'd suggest trying another VCR first and play one of the tapes you know shows the trouble. That might be all it takes. Then consider trying to increase the picture height if it's just a small bit at the top of the screen.

it looks like a capacitor problem in power supply circuit. the humming and waving of the picture is caused by a faulty filter capacitor in the power supply circuit. have it check and replaced if found faulty. good luck!
