How do I make a test page for my printer to check color.

You need to clarify :
1. Your printer cannot print color even though it prints color well from a test page;
2. Your printer cannot print color in a test print page.

If it is the first one, then you have to set it properly in Window Print Configuration page of that printer;
If it is the second one, then you have to check whether you have installed the color ink cartridge properly in the printer. If the color ink cartridge is installed properly, try to replace another new color ink cartridge. Finally it is still not work, then you have to bring back to the repair center.

My Pinnacle Pro 901 is set to print using black ink only but it keeps telling me I need to replace color cartridges and won't print.

You won't be able to print if one of the cartridges is out of ink. The printer needs all cartridges with sufficient ink levels to prevent damaging the printhead.

Every time a cartridge is replaced, all colors are primed simultaneously thus the need for all cartridges to have ink.

Why won't my Lexmark 5600- 6600 Series Printer print in color?

It could be the print setting on the application where you're printing from. Before you send your print job and hit "Print" button on your computer, check in the Printing Preferences and make sure it is not set to print "Using black ink only.".

My office jet G85 won't print. No error messages appear,it has a new color cartridge,it copies, but won't print from my computer.

If it copies ok, then the issue is either the way it is cabled to computer or the print driver software settings on pc.... How is it connected via USB? Check port and correct driver is in windows/control panel/printers. Reinstall.

I want to print using my lexmark X6170 but I don't want to print color so I didn't put a color cartridge in. It keeps coming up with an error message and won't print at all.

Some printers require you to have the color cartridges in them even when you are printing black and white. You usually can in your print options choose black and white over color.

My MFC290C printer will not print in black. I changed the ink and it still won't print black. I changed the color of the type and it will print in colors, just not black. I ran the cleaning cylce...

You need to call Brother at 1-877-brother and tell them your mfc is "missing black". They will tell you where to take it to get the print head replaced under Brothers' warranty. This is a VERY common problem and Brother will cover the cost to repair it.

try to install and reinstall the printer cartridge...and also clean the tab circuit of the cartridge and tab circuit of the printer carrier..

if the problem still exist..
rebreak the printer by full-out the power supply...to reset the settings and then turn it back...

This means the black cartridge is workin fine right..so i believe somehow the colur cartridges is not workin properly..get another set of cartridgesand try printing...before that align the cartridges from the printer and then print an alignment page..check the report on the alignment page..if the issue still persists with the new set of cartridges also..then there is some issues with the hardware..try cleaning the metal contacts of the cartridges with a lint free cloth dipped in little bit of alcohol..and also clean the metal contacts inside the printer as well..do a power drain by disconnecting the power cord from the printer and tapping the power button for 15 to 20 times..if the issue still persists get the printer replaced by calling up hp if the printer is in warranty
