I have a model 110.60094991 Kenmore electric dryer. The dryer spins, but it does not heat. The circuit breaker is OK. What could cause this, and is it something I can repair?

I don't have heat to my dryer.

Hi,

Make sure that Front of the dryer is not blocked, Air flow is needed to dry.

Check the blown fuses and home’s circuit breaker tripped. Dryer use 2 household Fuses or a circuit breakers, Replace the Fuses or reset the circuit breaker.

Another common cause of a dryer failing to heat is a faulty heating element. You will need to replace it.

Good Luck and have a nice day.
Rating the solution is highly appreciated

Kenmore Dryer -will spin but not heat and dry

The ohms reading on a heating element should never be zero. The resistance is what turns electricity into heat. You may have gotten a bad part. Check it again with NO power to the system. Unplug it or flip the breaker to be sure. You should definately get a reading on a good element. Good luck

I have a 5 year old Sears Kenmore dryer that won't offer heat

This is an electric heated device?

Do you use fabric softener sheets in your machine? If yes, have you tried cleaning the sensor? Look on the back wall for a sensor. Check with Sears for specific instructions.

Kenmore dryer model number 110.66912691 not heating.

Check the house electrical panel for tripped dryer-circuit breaker-pair. Push off, then on. If immediately re-trips, the dryer has a dead short circuit in it. If they hold, then retry the dryer. If it now works, ok! If not, recheck the breakers as above. If tripped again, there is a likely short in the dryer's heater assembly. The drum must be removed to access the heater.

My kenmore dryer is blowing out cold air

Make sure that both poles of your circuit are live - An electric dryer uses 220 volts to the heating element, but taps into only one pole (110 volt) for the motor that spins the drum. Check your circuit breaker to make sure that neither pole has tripped.

Blowing breaker

hi. I can help you.

Electric dryers use 220 volts or two power lines of 110 volts each. Some components in the dryer need only 110 volts; the heating element requires 220 volts. So it's possible for one part of the dryer to be fine and another part to have a short circuit. Short circuits can be caused by the heating element, the main power cord, or any other part of the internal wiring. To decide where the problem lies, unplug the dryer, then:

  • If the circuit breakers or fuses remain on and/or intact when the dryer is unplugged, it's likely the problem is with the dryer. Contact a qualified appliance repair technician.

  • If the circuit breaker trips or the fuse blows when the dryer is unplugged, it's likely the problem is with the house wiring, fuse box, or circuit box. Contact a qualified electrician.

Dryer working but no heat

The manual says that two circuit breakers used, and that the dryer
can spin but no heat if one of them tripped, check your panel and see
if any breakers are tripped. If this was the problem, have an electrician
check the circuit.

first dryer should be on circuit by itself..if dryers runs ok for a while before tripping breaker call electrican to change breaker..change it not ck it ..too many times had electricans tell cust breaker ckd ok but after explaining to cust a breaker can not be ck without load they had breaker changed and solved problem ..not just old breaker but even new ones can cause problems..if breaker kicks as soon as dryer is turned on ck wiring at connection where ac is connected very seldom does any other issues with dryer cause immediate tripping of breaker
