- Take out its battery for 10 seconds, Then put it in again.
- Press and hold Volume Up + Home Keys, Then press Power.
- Keep pressing the above keys until Samsung logo appears,Then release all keys.
- Wait until you are into Factory reset / System Recovery menu.
- Use Volume Down key to scroll down and select Wipe Data / Factory Reset option.
- Use Power button or Home key to confirm the operation.
- You need to use the Volume Down key again to select "Yes -- delete all user data"
- Use Power button or Home key to confirm the operation one more time.
- After performing the hard reset, Select Reboot System Now option, And confirm it usingPower button or Home key.
- Now the phone will reboots, Wait for it to be fully on and then you can start using it.

Samsung sgh-m310 phone is hang, while typing...

The main reason why a particular phone "hangs" is losing free space in the phone memory,it means if the memory is to low, some operation may cause malfunction.

What to do? here's how

1. delete unused files like messages, photo, video and other data to save more space in phone memory.
if possible, try to transfer it to the memory card.

or if not,

2. Reset your phone by typing *2767*3855# then wait till the phone restarts.you phone is now on factory default. (before doing this operation, back up your important data cause everything will be erase)

Hope this solution helps.

Cant get music from memory card.

Can you see the files in a list?

Not all phones can play all forms of music files. There are mp3's, AAV's, WAV's, etc... you may have files a particular phone can't read.

Are they in a particular folder on the card? Some phones need specific file types in very specific folder locations. Others, like a Windows OS for instance, doesn't care and will scan the phone and card storage for playable files when you tell it to "update library" or similar command.

And there are some phones that only play the music from phone memory, and not card memory, or you have to select which storage from the music player itself. Your user guide should tell you if this is the case.

Is San Disk memory card compatible with Digimax 401 ? I inserted one and got the message card errior.

Hi,
SD Memory Card is compatible with your Digimax 401 camera. You just need to format the card.
Formatting a memory card
** This is used for formatting the memory card. If you run [FORMAT] on the memory card, all
images, including the protected images, will be deleted. Be sure to download important
images to your PC before formatting the memory card.
** If the memory card is not inserted, the internal memory will be formatted.
** Be sure to format the memory card if you are using a newly purchased or non-initialized
memory card, if it contains data that the camera cannot recognize, or if it contains images
captured with a different camera.

Formatting a Memory Card
1. In any mode other than Voice Recording mode, press the MENU button.
2. Press the LEFT/ RIGHT button and select the [SETUP] menu tab.
3. Select the [FORMAT] menu by pressing the UP/ DOWN button and press the RIGHT button.
4. Select a desired sub menu by pressing the UP/ DOWN button and press the OK button.
- If [No] is selected : The memory card will not be formatted.
- If [Yes] is selected : A [PLEASE WAIT!] message appears and the memory card will be formatted. If you ran FORMAT in Play mode, a [NO IMAGE!] message will appear.

Transferring music files to microSD card

It says on the manual this this phone accepts microSD™
memory cards up to 2 GB (depending on memory
card manufacturer and type). Check with your phone manufacturer if there are known issues with a particular memory card brand.

Also, try connecting the memory card to your computer via memory card reader and see if the card will be detected. That way, you can check whether the card is working or not. Save the music files from the PC to the memory card, then see if the music files will appear when you insert the card to your phone.

Check if your batteries are getting hot when charging. If it is, then your charger is working. Maybe it is your battery.
If you want to store your files in your memory card, you can do so by inserting your card into a memory card reader.
I dont know if samsung is like motorola wherein, if the phone has a memory card and the connection setting for the phone is to read the memory card by usb. Then windows xp recognizes this as a removable storage device.
Or if you want to store files directly to your phone memory, you will need the software cd included in the box.

the lens is stuck out because there is incorrect battery connection. there is an option on the camera setting for the battery type. try this one:
-turn the camera on
-click on Menu button
-select options using left/right, up/down button
-select Set up 2
-Select Battery type
-Select Alkaline for non-rechargable
or Ni-MH for rechargable
-click OK button

this setting should be done when using camera for the first time and whenever you are switching battery types, from rechargable to non-rechargable and vice versa.
