Hi, at the following link you will find some easy to follow steps on how to prevent this type of problems. Also make sure there is nothing blocking the path of the paper when the printer is trying to feed it. Sometimes objects will fell inside the printer and block the paper path thus causing the paper to be pulled from one side and the other jamming.

Most likely to be a page feed problem, look online to clean page feeder rubber rollers.
Try here for the pdf manual which covers problem with jams and skewing

G85 series prints crooked

From HP's site:

Problem: The print on the paper is skewed.

Solutions: 1. Slide the paper-width adjuster against the left side of the paper stack, and 2. make sure that the rear access door in the back is fully “locked”.

Cannot print anything. Paper goes in halfway and then says 'paper jam'. Checked back - no jammed paper. Keeps on doing this. Have been in to cancel print but keeps saying paper jam. Have tried a print test...

Dear Customer,

you ahve to use batter quility papers for prints,

cause when paper fixed up your printer says its jammed but as realesed its says printing but when ALL THINGS DOIN VERY FAST JAMMING & PRINTING ITS SEEMS LIKE PAPER JAMED ALSO SAW YOU AS PAPER JAMED,

E3 paper jam

if the paper is crooked it will come out wrinkled. If not the print is crooked indicating a different problem.
You wil have to look at the paper as it is printing, to see where it is catching, paper ramp maybe ( before the fuser entrance), exit rollers? ( only place I know there are bristles)

E3 is : paper jam in fuser

also check fingers or claws on fuser they catch the paper if worn.

Make sure the paper aligning slides are tight to the sides of the paper. In the case that they are spring loaded make sure there is not something preventing them from holding the paper properly aligned.
The print head could be 'off-track'...
If the text is properly aligned on the edge of the page, but appears crooked it is related to the print head assembly. If the text is not aligning to the edge of the page then the paper is not feeding straight and the paper aligning slides are at fault.
It is also possible that one of the paper feed rollers are not grasping the paper and it is forcing it to one side as it pulls it in.
