Tube tv bouncy picture

I have a 41 inch Mitsubishi Tube Tv using antenna. The clearer the picture comes in the more the picture bounces up and down. On channels with a little static the picture does not bounce at all. Just wondering if there is something wrong with tv

Well you or half way there, is it a light tap or havey tap, if havey tap it doesn't mean it's the pip, I am certain it's the pip, to fix this it not that easy, you must pull the pip out, sometime there just a module that pull out when releasing the tab on the buttom connector and sometine there solder there. You must get the pip out and open the solder side of the bord and re solder what look's like bad solder, most of the time there all bad, this take time and patient. It will take about 3 hr's so don't think it is easy and like wise man say's take your time, or you can order a new one but there not that cheap, contact your manufacture, you can find it at www.411.com or goolges.

    I hope this help.

I can't program my tv to regular antenna channels

You can program to regular (analog) antenna channels. To do so you must use the original remote which has a TV/DTV switch in the top right corner of the remote. Choose the appropriate mode for the type of channel you want to see or scan for. Here is a link to the owners manual and a picture of the remote swithc. The info on the signal switching is on pg.13.

Mitsubishi vs-55707 or vs-50707????? bouncing horizontal lines weird color

If the picture looks like a 3D then you have a convergence failure.
I would suggest to visually inspect the STK Ics for dry or crystallized solder joints.

My Mitsubishi WS 55511 died.

If you are lucky, it's only a blown fuse. Some tv's this large have more than one fuse, so look real hard and find all fuses. If fuses are good, then about 95% of the time, when you have no picture/no sound, the problem is a bad H.O.T. This is a large transistor with three pins soldered into the main board and is very easy to find because it is connected to a metal "heat sink". Look for a large red or black wire coming from the pic tube down to the main circuit board (sometimes it's blue, but it's the only wire coming from the GLASS part of the tube to the board. This wire goes to about the largest component on the board called the "flyback transformer". It is usually black and is about 3 or 4 inches tall, 2 inches wide, and 2 inches thick. The h.o.t. will usually be located in the area of the "flyback". The h.o.t. will be screwed with one screw or clamped onto a large piece of metal (usually silver). This piece of metal is usually about 2 inces square and is about 1/8 of an inch thick and is mounted perpendicular to the main board. Imagine a slice of bread standing on one side rather than lying flat and this is what the heat sink looks like. Sometimes you will see several heat sinks with transistors screwed into them, but the one you are looking for will always be the largest transistor with three pins. Don't forget to unplug the tv before you begin and stay away from the large wire coming out of the tube going to the "flyback". Do NOT unplug this wire from the tube. It can shock you very badly EVEN WITH THE TV OFF FOR SEVERAL DAYS. Just be careful and go ahead and give this a try. You can do it, and this is probably going to fix your set. If not, then replace the flyback transformer. The H.O.T. is about $10 or $15 and the flyback can be from $30 to $80. It is possible that none of this will fix your set, but you have about a 95% chance that it will and with such a big and nice and relatively new set, I would give it a shot. Keever

Horizontal lines and screen bounce

These sets have capacitors that will go bad, but without a good ERS meater that tests these in curcuit you could be spending a lot of time doing nothing, But the most common is to find the 9 volt reg on the signal board and change all within a 2 inches of that regulator

TV problem

Hello Barbara76,
Is this a Horizontal line (inch or two) across the screen, if so
the fault could be either a faulty Vertical IC,Faulty Electrolytic
capacitors or just simple dry joints.

Bouncing Picture on WS48511 MITSUBISHI PROJECTION TV

I have seen this symptom a lot recently. There is a 9 volt regulator on the small signal board, and the output voltage on this IC has dropped down to about 8 volts, which causes that symptom. Replacing that regulator should cure your problem, and when I make a housecall for a set like that I charge $150, although I hear that the average service center charges a lot more than that. I also believe that it is never a good idea to leave a projection TV on all the time, so whoever told you that has no idea what they are talking about.
