If your operating system is XP , just download the software. If your OS is not XP change it accordingly. If you have a 64 bit system change that also. And then download the software. Install. Don't worry about the setup disk. Good luck.

Ibm thinkpad a31p hard drive not found

Thi sis an issue about the hard disk itself .. depending on how was formatted.. or the way was connected. you need to go to bios settings and select the hard disk in the devices .. and if there is an ahci function on . you have to disable it . cause without driver will not see the hard disk .. This is nto an issue if you install a windows 7 but for widows xp .. to work and to use it in this way ..(with the sata raid or sata achi ..) you need to run a 3rd party driver when installing the operation system .. or ....
the quick way .. go to bios by pressing F2 on start .. and in there ..disable teh raid or achi for the hard disk (must be in the ide/sata feature.. where you see the devices for ide.. you have a sata .. setting feature too .. Just select it ..and let it run in compatible mode or non raid . or disable achi ..or sata as ide or native .. depending on the BIOS edition it may refer to the same thing in different ways .. The idea is to disable any function for the hard disk that might require a driver to be installed in order to work ..
after that will boot just right if you have an os on it .. or will be needed another installing from a live disk ..(boot-able disk )
Also check the hard disk options ..and see that some have a second setting for a usb ..and remove it and leave the hdd 0 as primary ) ..This is not the boot priority .. but the actual device ..
]Anyway if you set what I said .. and make a factory default before.. (set it to the factory settings first and after that remove the achi or raid settings ..and save with F10 ) ..and will work .
try it and let me know how it worked out..

Foxconn p4m800p7ma-rs2 motherboard on Gforce FX5500 system halted

You refer to Master/Slave disks. Are you actually using the Master/Slave jumper settings? Must motherboards and OSs today recommend putting the disks in the CABLE SELECT jumper setting. The problem with the old Master/Slave setting is that the Controller on the Master Disk is used to control the Slave disk as well. This can lead to problems when disks are made by different manufacturers, as sometimes they are not fully compatible. In CABLE SELECT, each disk controller works independently.

Just formated my computer and was all gud untill it asked for the product key. i tried the one on my pc but it didnt work. whould like to get some keys that work plz

the one on your pc should be a microsoft coa therefore it should work make sure everything you type in is done correctly with the space - between the first set of numbers if you cant get your keyboard to work try blowing out all of the dust from your keyboard using a fine air blower from an air compressor making VERY sure there is no MOISTURE in the lines.

dust causes static which causes lots of problems with a computer and its parts

hope this helps

Sir my problem is that my SATA hard disk not detected by system. Also when i detect the SATA/IDE hard disk system hang, and nothing happen. But that time keyboard not hang. My SATA ports work...

Each PATA device (disk-drive or CD/DVD) drive has some small jumpers.

For the two devices connected via the one ribbon-cable,
set the jumpers on one device to the MA(ster) setting,
and set the other device to the SL(ave) setting.

Or, set both devices on the one cable to the C(able)S(elect) setting.

When properly set, both devices will be quickly and properly detected.

Be sure that your BIOS SETUP has been configured to allow SATA devices,
i.e., not set to "disabled" mode.

Is this a USB hard drive?
If so do any USB devices work?
Check Disk Manager (STart Menu - My Computer - right-click - Manage - DIsk Manager) - Can you see hard disk?
If so right cick on hard disk and set a drive letter for it in Disk Manager.

According to what you have said, you might have created the Recovery disks after purchasing the notebook. Now you are trying to restore the notebook to factory settings, but they are not working.

Even you have tried to F11 options to restore notebook using the Recovery partition of your notebook.

Let me assist you in this regard.

If the recovery disks are not booting, then we have to check if the issue is with the disks or with the CD/DVD drive itself.

To check that, you need to try to boot with any other OS CD. If the notebook is booting with other OS disks, then the issue is with the Recovery disks itself.

Even F11 option is not working, you have to make sure that D: Recovery is not removed.

For your information, if the issue is with the Recovery disks, then you can purchase the Recovery disks from Hp at very low price.

You can order them from the below link:

CD-ROM order page - Recovery Discs you can order the place order for Recovery disks.

Check the bios and make sure the hd is there. There should be a program on the cd or recovery disk to fdisk the hd (partitioning). Look at the dir on the disk and see whats there.

I had the same problem "unknown disk, please check disk". Tried the reset method described in the owner's manual (power off, unplug and wait 5 seconds). This did not work.

I then put the unit into the setup mode (press set-up on the remote.) I selected "Factory Settings" under the general category and then chose "Set". These reset the unit and it seems to be working okay now. Hope this helps.
