SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Display light for totals on cyclone pin ball machine don't display

Assuming the game is playing, but just no displays lit.

1. Check fuses on power supply board for a blown fuse. Sometimes the fuse clips will crack and not provide a snug hold to the fuse.

2. Look for bad (cracked) solder joints on the connector pins on power supply board.

3. There are two 39K resistors on the power supply board that go bad (usually go open circuit). One of those resistors is for the +100 volts and the other one is for the -100 volts. All it takes is one of those resistors to go bad and the displays will be blank. Originals were rated at a half watt, but it is suggested to replace with a higher wattage value, say 39k at 2 watts. If you find only one bad 39k resistor, replace the other one too at the same time because that one will soon fail.

I need schematics for the Phonic 620 powered mixer

I am repairing the same one. Repaired the power supply full bridge rectifier and 15 volt regulator then tried it and the music starts for 1 second before some relay (protection?) disconnects and the music stops. So decided to get the service manual from here - just checking out now, it is for the fan cooled version which is probably the heatsink version I'm working on.

W/supply voltage fuse is ok w/output voltage no supply voltage on fly back

Very likely the flyback is bad. Most CRT sets have an SCR clamping circuit that "crowbars" or shunts power if the voltages on the flyback outputs are not within spec.

The red light just stays on .I changed the fuse and the same thing

Needs to get a Depot service done for the Electronic board. Could be an issue with Capacitor or IC. Good luck.

There is power but tv wont turn on

It sound as if your set is stuck in the standby mode and the cause can be many fold so i'll try and advise you on how to begin your diagnosis.
Two major areas for your attention are the power supply and line output stages. Over voltage or over current will cause the power supply to shut down and we need to isolate the culprit. To elimate the power suuply disconnect HT + feed to line output stage and connect 100 watt lamp from power supply HT+ to chassis (Ground) If lamp lights at reduced brightness and HT+ is Between 100 and 140 volts then power supply is most likely ok. If lamp not lit or running at full brightness then power supply fault exists. Check all electrolytic caps and chopper transistor also check any high Ohmic value resistors (100K or more) for open circuit. If fault not in power supply most likley cause is short circuit line output transistor. You will require a multimeter, soldering iron and the service manual for repairs of this nature. WARNING very high voltages exist in these circuits. Please take care. I'ts the volts that jolt but the mills that kill. Your friends still love you so you owe it to them to keep safe.

Blown fuse everytime it powers on

yes right there is a short circuit in power supply if you are non technical then replace the power supply if you are technical then open the power supply and check the 4diodes of bridge if faulty replace it again check transistor attatched to heat sink if faulty repalce it

I have a 24 volt power supply for a piece of industrial machinery that isn't working. I opened it up, applied 120 vac, and began probing different components with my voltmeter. I came to a 100 ohm 1 watt...

The meter is not infinitely resistive -effectless, it has effect on the circuit, and may be enough to switch the scr on.
np-pn junctions in scr fail occasionally, the voltage fluctuation due to the meter may have been just enough to trick the rectifier, the scr may need to be replaced,
Has there been any major power suge, lightning strike 'close (in lightning terms) to the unit', output short, to the power supply, slilcon can really only be tested out of circuit its often easier to replace than test

Humming noise when turned on

Annebatiste:
Humming almost always comes from DC supply problems.A leaky SCR [silicon control recitfiter] transistor [used in a/c to dc power supply], leaky Capacitor [large metal type for heavy voltage\current], bad or value changed bias for SCR transistor, value changed filter resistor and loose transformer[Xformer] that the coils INSIDE vibrate sending a radio frequency [R\F] SIGNAL (like a radio station) into the audio amp section or right into the speakers causing the hum.
Check entire power supply, all filter capacitors, coils, chokes ,transformers (somtimes used to push signal into speakers)

RCA CHASSIS CTC195K BLOWA SCR

make sure that the scr has adequate insulation. I have run into this problem before several times, and it always comes back to the scr and heatsink. check for shorts before you plug it in. unless you have an isolation transformer, do not hook up ac powered equipment to chassis ground, as this will blow your transistor again. use dc poweered volt-ohm meter.

Do you know how to work on solid state electronics? if not then Im sorry to say you will need to get the assistance of a local tech who is experienced. As these sets are solid state and there are no user servicable parts inside. Good Luck
