courageously forward with the drawing , i have it done two times when the cilinder was torn everything is exact on measurements bolts are not longer as needed and neccesary you can replace all thing but make no mistake the ignitioncable must in a gap and having a special lenght its long enough but don,t have tention on that cable it should fitted without tension but its a puzzle the first time .

I have a Hitachi NR 83A2 nail gun, it still fires a nail, the firing pin retracts but then slowly comes out and stays out. Is there a seal kit available for this problem?

Sounds like you have worn valves or damaged o-rings. Unfortunately Hitachi does not make a rebuild kit for your nail gun. If you go to www.ereplacementparts.com you can find an excellent breakdown of your tool and either order the parts you need there or use the part numbers to search the web for prices and availability. Your tool is on the old side and some parts are no longer available.

My Hitachi nv65ah nail gun won't set nails into 3/4 trim. I have played with the turn/screw set adjustment and it is set for the deepest setting. This gun was purchased second hand off e-bay but

If every nail is stopping at the exact same height, a likely reason is the tip of the driver is broken off so it's not long enought to drive the nails all the way to flush. If the height of the nails is slightly different you may have worn or broken o-ring(s) inside the gun and air is leaking around the driver's piston or elsewhere in the gun so that the driver isn't getting full pressure. You can take the gun apart and inspect the o-rings. If you push the driver all the way down the tip should come flush or slightly past the end of the nose piece (not the safety tip). Parts are easy to find online or at a service center if you have one nearby.

Nails were loaded backwards in my Hitachi nail gun. I can't unload them

Hi,

Sorry to hear, but it happens.....

You'll have to take the magazine apart and disassemble at least as far as the nail got. I'm giving you the webpage from toolpartsdirect.com for the schematic diagram and parts list to help you take everything apart, and of course, put back together again. http://d3cmirsdb60x3h.cloudfront.net/schematics/hitachi/nv83a2.big.pdf

Be sure to check all parts for damage, such as scarring on metal parts that might cause nails to stick later.

This site is a good place to get parts. Very fast delivery!

Hope this helps. If it does, I'd appreciate a 4 thumbs up. Thanks,

Handie Andie

Hitachi nail gun,piston/nail push rod wont retract after pushing nail (stays protruding out of gun so the remaining nails stay underneath it

You have one or more worn o-rings in the head of the gun. They direct the air to the proper parts of the gun to first drive the nail then to return the driver to the top of the gun for the next nail. Depending on the manufacturer and your model number, some companies make kits to replace the o-rings (always replace all of them). For some companies you have to get a breakdown of the gun and order each o-ring seperately.

Hitachi nail gun nr90ad leaks from trigger when air hose is connected

Orings, they have to be replaced every few years. Warranty does not cover them.

Any Hitachi service centre should stock them. Or find your model on Ebay:

Hope this helps!

Thanks

How many tools will operate at same time

I think you'll have to look at your specs on your nail guns and see what the demand is . Whether measured in cfpm or psi, your compressor will tell you the max output of each of those. Then you divide the maximum sustained output of the compressor,, lets say it is 60 psi. Let's say the guns require 10 psi, 60 divided by 10 is 6 = 6 nail guns. This is completely hypothetical as I have no idea what your nail guns require, only you know what kind of guns you have.If you need to run more guns than the compressor can push air for, you'll have to invest in another compressor, maybe even one larger to handle the guns running wide open consistent nailing. Nothing a drywaller hates more is than for all the cursed clip nails not being drove in all the way, lol, and that's what will happen with insufficient air supply.
