We have a 2008 Swan windup with rear l/h side windup mechanism failure. We are currently lifting by hand and placing a pole alongside the complete extension & taping it in place. Can this be fixed?

Anything can be fixed.....for a price. A dealer could do it but I'm sure it will be spendy, but if you know any men with mechanical aptitude, you might find parts in a wrecking yard and have them fix it for you.

"Error. Press shutter release button

hiit is not easy to tell what exact problem. It has quite of causes in your case. But I can only tell most common cause that it is sequence unit fail. It could also other like shutter fail, mirror box mech fail, motor fail, control pcb fail, and so on...etc...I recommended you bring to your local service place or Nikon service center which is helpful to you.

It has been a while since I have worn my watch. I have reset the time and warn it for a while but it has not started back. How long do I have to wear it before it will run on its own.

mcdevito75 here, If your watch is a quartz watch, have the battery changed, if your watch is a windup watch that hasn"t started due to you not wearing it in a while, you can try to KICK START it in a way. Take the watch off and as if to set the time of day, pull the stem out and move the hads back and forth, say from 3 to 9 then back again, sometimes this motion of the hands moveing and the stem being pulled in and out can KICK START a windup watch. If this does not help, see the repair service here at fixya, bottom of the page click on repair service directory then watches. I am Mike D I am in the directory and can help out if needed.

Nikon F100 does not advance film to start of roll,

Jim, it really sounds like one of threethings. Either will require a repair shop.
1. the film sensor is not recognizing film in the film chamber, or film across the back, therefore not telling the advance motor to advance film...
2. The film advance motor itself needs replaced.
3. The rear door latch switch needs replaced.
Since everything else seems to do OK, I doubt the main computer board is bad.

After develop the pictures i found that some images are completely blank and the images are cut into half. Half develop and half not. what the cause of it?? thanks

Might be film coming loose when inserting in loading spool and skipping when winding forward after making a shot. Could try bending first 1/2" of film tongue before inserting in slot in windup spool so that it won't slip out and be sure film sprocket holes are engaged with film transport sprockets and a bit under tension when loading film before closing camera cover. Your 'half-frame' problem might be that you are shooting at a 'flash' shutter setting of 1/60 when not using flash.

Make sure the cds are the right way up.
Try listening to the cd mech to determine if the cds are being loaded.
If the mech is going through the motions then the problem could be the lens is dirty, the laser has failed or the spin motor is faulty.
if there is no sound of the cds being loaded, it could be a power supply problem. Try a reset or just unplug the changer then re connect it.
