Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

Set dell vistro 200 back to factory

If your son installed Vista and then W7 Home, it is most likely that he overwrote the original OS restore partition. Therefore I would suggest that you cannot restore from that partition. However, the computer will have a Windows XP product key attached. I see no reason why you cannot use any Windows XP install disk of the same type as the original and then use the product key attached to the computer. Then you will have to download drivers for LAN, sound, video card, chipset inf etc etc from the Dell website. I have used this method many times with complete success. Of course, Windows will need to download over 120 updates, including Service Pack updates to SP3. Good luck.

Need to restore Dell 1525 to original factory settings

Dell has a default partition on the computer and you can install with the same..
If you have windows vista on the computer then tap F8 when the computer turns on and then you will be able to see the advanced boot options.. Select repair my computer.. In the repair my computer screen select the dell factory image restore...
Your computer will go through the installation and it will be up and running...
If you have windows Xp then you have to turn on the computer and when the dell logo appears you have to simultaneously press control and the F11key.. You will be able to reinstall the OS in this way..

I have an acer travelmate 2480-2943. What is the restore method on this computer to put it back at factory settings by reformating the hard drive?

The process varies with the manufacturer and OS. Some provide a restore disc as opposed to just the OS disc. If it's Vista you can get the Start-Up Repair by pressing F8 when booting, then choose Factory Image Restore option. This will set your computer back to day 1 - You will loose all personal data and software installed since it was new.
