If you haven't already done so, you will need to load your graphics drivers again. After reinstalling Windows, you move than likely have to reinstall graphics, audio, and modem drivers again.

I do have a T60 as well!, love it! and the only way to restore as from factory is to install a fresh copy of the OS of choice (if original disk are not available) then, go to or and download the drivers that belongs to your pc. I hope that this answered your question!, Good Luck!.

Iinstaled win xp, now monitor will not work. can i download and install driver onto flash drive without seeing my monitor

Turn your notebook off.
Turn your notebook on, and immediately start pressing the F8 key, once or twice per second,
until you see the Windows "start-up" menu (white text over a black background).
Choose the "start in VGA (low-resolution") mode" (or some wording similar to that).

You computer will start-up in '800-by-600-by-256-colours' mode, which should work.
Adjust the screen-resolution, and the number of colours to "optimal" values.

your monitor cannot support in higher resulotion maybe plug & play your monitor during installation. Try install the proper monitor driver so that you can change higher resolution if not working maybe your monitor to old and can't support higher resulotion anymore

I can not install win Xp on laptop IBM T22 it is stoped

It stops when some corrupt file is there on the CD>You just have to clean the CD in + fashion and not circular. Clean it with a soft cloth and then try again many times.

I plug my IBM G54 monitor into my HP but it will not open windows all the way it tell me it is looking for the software that it detected new hardware but then it doesn't do anything

go to IBM web page and see if they have the driver for your monitor. If you are running win xp or vista it should pick it up automatically and install the drivers

Drivers problem

Are the drivers from IBM XP specific? If not try the drivers for Win. 2000. I have had success using them on XP machines when XP specific drivers can't be found.

Cannot display this video mode optimum resulotion 1280*1024 60hz

Chances are that the video driver for XP and 2003 differs (even if only slightly). You might want to start the 2003 in "Safe Mode" first to lower both the Screen Resolution and Screen Refresh Rate to the lowest possible. Thereafter do an update on the video card driver compatible with 2003 from the Dell.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.
