Problem in power board- sound 15-30 seconds-no raster need schematic or direction

Back - light problem. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis.

Some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement.

Initially, pls check D854 on the Power Supply/Logic board. It is a dual diode. If you would prefer board replacement rather than component level repair, this might be of help. This of course would require a fair familiarity of electronic components/circuitry and safety procedures, use of a DVM and a soldering iron. It would be to your added advantage access to a service manual or at the very least a schematic diagram with voltage readings. Should you be uncomfortable performing a DIY (do-it-yourself), perhaps your best bet would then be to seek the services of a qualified professional.

This is of course in addition to checking the usual, power cord, fuse, outlet etc.

This may be a problem in the HV section of your TV. My question is do you have raster, or is the screen totally black? If you have raster then this is a video problem, if the screen is totally black then it is a HV problem. In either case if you do not have a background in electronics I would suggest that you take your TV to a qualified TV technician. If you do have a background you will need the following items:

A schematic diagram of your TV set to know where the test points are and to see what voltages and or signals should be at what point in your TV set
A multimeter to measure AC voltages. DC voltages, and Resistance when needed.
An Oscilloscope to measure signals that should be present in various sections of the TV as shown by the schematic.
A signal generator to create the proper input signal for testing.

These are the major tools needed, not to mention a soldering iron, and a de-soldering tool

you need a new converence amp pcb. If you need to know where to get a replacement PCB let me know and I will post a link.

1st check +200Volt are at RGB Board (mounted at CRT gun) if volts are correct, picture tube (CRT) is defective and need to be replaced. Regarding Schematic (service manaul), its available on charge basis.

double check the wire connections, as the filaments not being lit makes me thing a wire isnt connected properly, or one may have been loosend while doing the convergence repairs.
