Question about Brother HL-2040 Laser Printer
If you are connected via the USB cable, the connection may be lost (or the setup which is particular to the actual USB plug itself). Try deleting the printer and reinstalling it. Don't change USB ports after the printer is installed by the way. Also we had problems with this when the printer was networked (shared) and the auto sense was on - after another person printed the local box would seize up. Try not having the printer auto sense its presence so that 2 printers show up in the network neighbourhood. Of course check that the cables are installed right and try changing USB ports.
