Question about Computers & Internet
It sounds like a system files problem ...this can be resolved by inserting the vista installer cd ...(it may works with the recovery one ..but you may loose some data from C partition cause you have no control in choises that it makes)
boot from cd and choose repair...on the first screen that it shows...if it asks you for a command (after you choose the windows that you want to repair)...the command will be < fixboot >(write it without the signs ..i just put them to highlight the command)
if it is not asking for command and just ask you to choose a windows to repair..just point it ...and try to choose to install in the same folder and leave the files intact ...it will be something almost like ...this way you will save files from C partition(my doc)..
try and let me know about ...the basic problem is the boot files corrupted or missing for some reason...if you can go to the first repair that appear..before choosing the operation system ...with the " fixboot "commant it will rewrite another boot file..
