Downloading tomtom HOME 2

I am trying to download tomtom home software for my tomtom one 3rd edition onto a PC running vista premium on a 64 bit processor and get error messages.

I have loaded it onto a 32 bit xp pc ok.

Any suggestions to get it working on the 64 bit pc?

I have downloaded, twice, TT Home 2.3.1.92 for my laptop Vista Home Premium 64 Bit.

The install just hangs after selecting the language - English in my case.

The install box says click NEXT to continue, but no NEXT button is available.

    Thanks for possible help.

TomTom Home with 720 receiver. Will not load using Win Vista. Factory support does not know the answer. I get a runtime error. Have discussed extensively with support. Very disappointed in their product. Do you have a software solution? Thanks. Jim Ackerson

Probably the installing bug has been solved by TomTom, but at this moment the application itself is not working. TomTom points to Microsoft as the party that is responsible for solving the problem, and offers the suggestion to users to try and find an XP- or 32-bits PC to run the program (which is not exactly the reason why users buy 64-bits pc's).

I had exactly the same where the next button did not show, I have vista business x64.

I clicked in around the right area in the grey at the bottom and the button is there, it just doesnt show. If you click around you will find it and the install then continues as normal. Still no buttons will show so just keep clicking in the same area and you'll complete the install.

Must be a bug in their install software.

I cannot install ethernet driver of hp compaq d530. Where can i find it?

Hello: I hope the following information is helpful.
If you are trying to install the driver for the Broadcom ethernet NIC that was pre-installed (NOT an ethernet card that you purchased and installed yourself), there is a softpack (updated driver installation) download available from HP/Compaq. It will install the driver automatically for you, just download it from the link below and run the ".exe" file.
IMPORTANT: Check to be sure that your current Operating System, and model of the network device you are trying to install, are BOTH listed below BEFORE you download!
This is a software / driver update for the HP Compaq d530 ultra-slim desktop: All Models
Supported network devices:
BCM5906M Broadcom 10/100/1000 5782 based NIC Broadcom 570x 10/100 Integrated controller Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit Ethernet 5782 Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit Ethernet PCI-Express NetXtreme(tm) 10/100/1000 Gb NIC
Supported Operating Systems: Microsoft Windows 2000 Microsoft Windows 98 Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 Microsoft Windows Vista Business 32 Edition Microsoft Windows Vista Business 64 Edition Microsoft Windows Vista Enterprise 32 Edition Microsoft Windows Vista Enterprise 64 Edition Microsoft Windows Vista Home Basic 32 Edition Microsoft Windows Vista Home Basic 64 Edition Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium 32 Edition Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium 64 Edition Microsoft Windows Vista Starter 32 Edition Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate 32 Edition Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate 64 Edition Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Microsoft Windows XP Professional Microsoft Windows XP Professional x64 EditionINSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Download the file by clicking the "Download" or "Obtain Software" button and saving the file to a folder on your hard drive (make a note of the folder where the downloaded file is saved). 2. Double-click the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions.LINK where file can be downloaded:HP/Compaq Support-Broadcom Driver download
Again, I hope this information is what you neededto install your network device. Should this not answer your question, please come back, provide more details of your problem, and we will be happy to help!Best of luck to you!

Pro tools m-powered problem

You may need to check to see which "service pack" you are currently on.

See below requirements:

System Software — Windows XP & Vista
  • Windows Vista Business or Ultimate Edition
    • 32-bit OS Installation Only
  • Windows XP Professional or Home Edition
    • With Windows XP Service Pack 2 or Service Pack 3

  • Not Supported:
    • Windows Vista 64-bit (any version)
    • Windows XP Professional x64 Edition
    • Windows XP Media Center Edition
    • Windows 98, Me, 2000, NT, 95, 3.1, DOS

  • Not Tested:
    • Windows Vista Home and Home Premium Edition
    • Although Windows Vista Home and Home Premium Edition have not been tested or qualified by Digidesign, there are currently no known issues with Vista Home and Home Premium 32-bit operating systems and Pro Tools M-Powered 7.4 compared to the supported Windows Vista Business or Ultimate Edition operating systems.

Windows Vista SP1
There are currently no known issues with Service Pack 1 for Windows Vista based on our initial limited testing and customer feedback. Although full qualification with all Digidesign products has not been completed, we do not recommend against updating to SP1, given the number of important overall system fixes in SP1. We do recommend that you backup your system and create a restore point before updating to SP1, should you encounter any problems after installing the update.

Are they the same - windows vista 32 bit platform edition and windows vista home basic 32 bit sp1

Yes and no. Think of 'platform' as a general header when looking at operating architectures (there are different types) and Vista choices.
Vista choices under the 'platform' 32-bit are:
• Windows Vista Home Basic 32-bit
• Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit
• Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit
• Windows Vista Business 32-bit
• Windows Vista Enterprise 32-bit

Another example of the "64-bit platform" and Vista choices are:

• Windows Vista Home Basic 64-bit Edition
• Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit Edition
• Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit Edition
• Windows Vista Business 64-bit Edition
• Windows Vista Enterprise 64-bit Edition

Burner does not finalize discs

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.

APPLIES TO
  • Windows Vista Ultimate
  • Windows Vista Starter
  • Windows Vista Home Premium
  • Windows Vista Home Basic
  • Windows Vista Enterprise
  • Windows Vista Business 64-bit Edition
  • Windows Vista Business
  • Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit Edition
  • Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit Edition
  • Windows Vista Home Basic 64-bit Edition
  • Windows Vista Enterprise 64-bit Edition

After you install Windows Vista on a computer that uses an SiI Parallel Advanced Technology Attachment (PATA) chip from Silicon Image, the computer does not recognize an attached optical drive as a drive that supports recording. Therefore, you cannot use the computer to burn CDs or DVDs.
This problem occurs because the SCSIport driver does not populate the correct number of bytes for an IOCTL_STORAGE_QUERY_PROPERTY Request Packet (IRP) when the device does not return a correct serial number.
Service pack information loadTOCNode(2, 'resolution'); To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows Vista or download the following Hotfix.
