Question about Compaq tc1100 Tablet PC
Did clean reinstall of XP and drivers from original discs, all went well but now cannot turn wireless on! Device Manager says everything is fine but WLAN not even detecting available networks. Any help much appreciated. Geoff
You probably forgot to go to Start, All Programs, Software Setup and set up all the software they offer you.
Later, you can delete anything you want from Start, Control Panel, Add/Remove Software.
This is a common occurence when reformatting.
PS, if you upgraded the card or changed Manufacturers then the original drivers will not run that card. Remove the cover and get the make and etc from the label, get the drivers and you should be OK.

Make sure the drivers are installed. check in device manager under network devices. also make sure u have wireless zero config service running. click start..run..type services.msc, scroll to bottom, right click and start the service
