Water filters are fairly basic, I don't know how this one is designed, but be sure it is installed with the arrow(s) in the direction of the water flow.
There is valve at the back of the ice maker unit. This valve is the one unit with twin inlet. From one inlet the water enters the ice maker and from other inlet the water enters the water dispenser.so in that valve the ice maker side is working but water dispenser side is not working.Or the ice is got clogged/ over frosted in the water dispenser entering pipe.either the valve needs top be replaced or the water dispenser pipe needs to be checked.Calling service person is advisable. He will just check and confirm what is the issue, the water valve or the over frost build up in the water dispenser tube.and do as required to solve the issue/.If case if the water valve needs to be replaced then cost of water valve is approx $40.-------------
this will help.Thanks.Helpmech.
did you connect dual valve correctly if not icemaker could be filling when you try to get water out of dispensor also a way to check if your dispensor paddle and switch test ..... otherwise possible plugged water filter or bypass cap not installed in filter head... is water supply on to water valve
If you take the bottom grill off the front of the appliance -1x Philips screw either side- under the freezer door you will see where the water pipe goes through the hinge. follow that pipe back towards the underneath of the machine and you should come across a push-fit connector.
The pipe leading through the freezer door from the connector, and blow down it, re-fit, press dispenser paddle to allow to flow. This stops the drip in 9/10 instances.
If not you may need to have someone check the water valve for slight blockage.
The blue tube is called food grade water pipe. This pipe should be connected to the back of fridge (Bottom RH Side to allow water into the unit). It will either have a push in fitting or require a flare connection. The only other pipe is the clear (white) one connected at the bottom of freezer door that feeds the water dispensor.
