I have moved my New World E70DOa into a built-in housing and it is melting the acrylic doors that it is next to. Shouls there be a metaln plate/shield that goes around the oven to prevent this?
Thanks,
George.

It's front vented, and hot air comes out at the top as I guess it's supposed to. Bu the oven door gets very hot at both sides as well as on top of the top plate.
first thing is to check if it is front vented or rear vented, if it is front vented you will find warm air blowing out above the door. if not it is rear vented and must have a flu installed behind unit.

with out seeing it, it sounds like the door hinges either may not be in place properly or they may need replacing. does the door shut firmly at the top or is there a little slack? and what are the cooking temps like, is food burning?
