Hiclarki,

Based on your brief description, I am inclined to suggest that you (re)install your video adapter driver(s). To my knowledge, the Tecra8000 uses a NeoMagic NM2200 [MagicGraph 256AV] (2.5 MB RAM). You can try downloading theOS appropriate driver from the Toshiba website or do a Google.

Thereafter, you need to configure the monitor selection in your Display Properties and set it to "TFT LCD Display/Panel/Screen".

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.

Change the screen resolution in the Control Panel for the Display.

Click Start/Control Panel and look for Display or Appearance and Personalization. When the Display opens select the Settings Tab. Change the Resolution by setting it up higher, click Apply then click OK.

You could Right Click on an open area on your desktop and select Properties. When the Display opens select the Settings Tab. Change the Resolution by setting it up higher, click Apply, then click OK.

How do i change my pictures to fit my laptop screen

Please give more details on what you are trying to do.

If you want to take a picture and make it the total size of your screen as the background of your screen, then just right click on the picture and select Set as Desktop Background. If the size is not what you want then go into the display properties and select the Desktop tab and change the Position to be Stretch. Stretch will fill the whole screen with the picture. Tile will fill the whole screen with multiple little pictures. Center will put the picture in the middle of the screen.

To get to the display properties click Start/Control Panel and look for Display or Appearance and Personalization.

You can also get the display properties by Right Click on an open area of the desktop and select Properties.

Click on Settings
Screen Resolution... Slid to the Less Pixels

Game display only occupies the center portion of monitor not full screen. Thinkpad A22m w/ windows xp home SP3. Can't get the game screen to display on the full monitor screen.

It is most likely that the game is unable to operate at the resolution that your screen is set at and is compensating by sizing the game window to the required size. You might change you display resolution to a lower setting.
Hope this helps! Rate my solution!

Screen is blinking very frequently

Hello, this is a known problem with the model of that laptop. You will also notice in safe mode your screen will not flicker but in normal mode it will flicker.
Your laptop should still be under warranty and needs the LCD replaced.

New w2k install

After a fresh install you need to go through and reinstall all the drivers for each internal/external component. Then when you have installed the video driver you can right click your desktop to access your Display properties to change the settings. The link below is all the drivers you need. Hope this helped.

Dell lcd display

if it is just half of the screen and the rest is black- you need a new screen. If it is half the screen all squished together (you can see the whole desktop) you need to reload the video driver
