Fridge short circuits power after a period of time

The primary causes of a refrigerator repeatedly tripping a breaker are:

an overloaded circuit
a short circuit
a ground fault surge
All of these problems can cause fires and/or electrocution if not properly addressed.

The water dispenser and the compressor are separate circuits, check if the fridge has power or has no power at all during the time it is idle, test on a different power outlet.

Replace the faulty switch.

HI.Did the tech cleaned the compressor filter? and is there a freon or refrigerant on your fridge that'S usually cooling element of an ordinary fridge.

This can be a failure of the power circuit in the fridge. Sometimes it can be a surge protector or a capacitor which can be done without much expense. But if the compressor is short or faulty then the cost must be estimated to be worthwhile spending for an old fridge.

Please checck to see if your thermostat lines are in order or if some of the connecting wires are damaged bby frost. First of all switch off the fridge and allow all frost to clear. then check for the fan circuit, the auto defrost timer circuit. Now after few hours switch on the fridge. Check to see if the compressor is running the back side is getting warm and the freezer is cooling. If not check if the compressor is pumping well or being short of gas-- get help -. If not the timer could be the culprit as after the cooling takes place the fridge does not defrost. Check this out and the fault is confirmed if your fridge works fine now. Hope you try. Good day

if you are using an amonia cherged fridge, the amonia in your system normally cristallises after not yousing you fridge forf a long period of time. try to put the fride upside down for a few hours or a day and the turn it upright again. re connect your 12v to teh fridge and it will certainly work again.

I suggest you unplug the fridge. If possible you can then open the wiring connection cover on the compressor (where the supply cable connects) and check what is causing the short circuit. Probably when moist there was a short circuit due to water but this may have burned some of the wiring. This will be quite visible and easy to repair with a bit of insulation tape.

It sounds like maybe the freezer fan is coming back on ??? Do you hear it in freezer?? I would recommend having it looked at ----this definately doesnt sound normal.
