E 68

E68 means your hard drive is either not connected properly, or it has failed. Try removing the hard drive from the XBox and see if it boots OK.

If it does boot OK, try putting the hard drive back on and see if it boots.

If it does not boot, you need a new hard drive. But the XBox 360 itself should be OK. You can find a new hard drive at the following page:

1 Red Light, error E 68

E68 is an hard drive error, turn it off and remove your hard drive, try to play a game without it, if it works, turn it off again, replace the hard drive and see how you get on, if it still will not work can you try the hard drive on another xbox, this will tell you if its a problem with the hard drive or an internal problem with the box.
Vote if this helps.

The green light flash and message comes on screensaying e-68 contact www.xbox.com/support

e-68 usually comes up when you have the cords plugged in wrong on the back of the TV or the 360.

With my 360 it was the cooler that was bothering it, i took it off and it worked fine.
Try taking off the cords and plugging them back in, if that did not help you contact xbox at: 1-800-4MY-XBOX

The hard drive do come with the Xbox 360 depending on with version you purchase. If you purchased the premium version or the elite version, the hard drive will come with the Xbox 360. Otherwise you can purchase a hard drive for the Xbox 360. I hope this information helps.
