Hello
Either you do not have the vid card seated properly or you knocked off the wiring to your hard drive.

Check closely your internal wiring to your hard drive.

A vid card that is compatible should never cause a hd failure.

Hope this helps.

you said hard drive failure first.

hard ware failure is probably your vid card,do you use onboard video?if so you need to disable it in your bios.before using a vid card.

Again check that the card is seated right.if it still doesnt work take it out.

In service test menu scroll to "3.Hard disc drive", & press enter, if test drive passed don't replace the hard disc or modification or changes. If test failed then check as shown below:
1 Switch the printer OFF. Remove the EIO Card (if installed) and re-install the Hard Disk Drive making sure it installed correctly by pushing it firmly inwards and checking that the two installation screws are completely tightened. Switch the printer ON again and repeat the Hard Disk Drive Test. If the Hard Disk Drive Test fails again then replace the Hard Disk Drive.
2 If the Hard Disk Drive Test passed after removing the EIO Card, then switch the Printer OFF and reinstall the EIO Card, making sure that the two installation screws are completely tightened.
Switch the Printer ON again and repeat the Hard Disk Drive Test. If the Hard Disk Drive Test fails, then the EIO Card could be faulty.Replace the EIO Card.
3 If the Hard Disk Drive Test continues to fail after replacing the EIO card or the Hard Disk Drive, then replace the Electronics Module..
I am having little knowledge, if I am wrong Pl don't comment, pl forgive me.

When statring my computer hp presario cq61 a message appeared "no bootable device found. then i made the hard disk check and it showed "no hard disk exists" What can i do?

Here are a few possibilities:
1. A huge possibility is that your hard drive has failed. This usually happens to computers 4 years old or longer. Unfortunately, it would be pretty costly to recover any data on a failed hard drive. You will have to replace the old hard drive with a new, compatible hard drive and install a fresh operating system on it. To do this, you need to consult someone who is somewhat familiar with computer troubleshooting or visit a store such as BestBuy for help.
2. The hard drive's cable is loose or disconnected (This usually happens when the hard drive was recently tampered with)

Window is not install in hdd

Some of that problem appears to your system hardware requirements, because if the hardware that you've use is not compatible to the software you've installed, it cannot process the installation. Windows XP Hardware requirements. 1. 1Ghz to 2 Ghz (x86), (x32) 16bit/32 bit or Higher CPU - Pocessor. 2. at least 15G to 20G Hard disk space available for the software. 3. 2G RAM memory. 4. minimum of 256MB video graphics card.

I installed a new board now I have no video, my DVD rom isn't working and I am not even sure that the hard drive is working.

Hi cabireel,

Have you checked the compatibility list for that motherboard? The video would be the only thing that might cause a compatibility issue. The DVD and hard drive probably have their pin settings wrong, or haven't been recognized by BIOS. What I would do, is to take everything off the board, and install each component one by one. Make sure you have the memory, CPU, and start with the hard drive. When it turns on, go to bios and verify that bios reads and sees the hard drive. If it does, then boot it up, and then shut it down. Then take the DVD and Video card and do the same. One by one until you determine if Bios recognizes all components. If it doesn't then it could be the component that is bad.

Good Luck.

It does not work on my computer, it says not compatible

These are the minimum requirements:

  • Pentium II 350 or equivalent
  • 200MB Hard Drive Space
  • 64MB RAM
  • Any 16MB DirectX 8.1 3D compatible graphics card
  • CD-ROM Speed 8x or faster
  • Any 100% DirectX 8.1 compatible soundcard

  • That being said, you memory, hard drive, optical drive, and cpu definitely blow away these requirements. However, if you are using an integrated video card, you fail because you need a separate video card with 16 MB dedicated video memory. You also need directX 8.1 compatible sound device (most likely you do).

If you do have all those and it still isn't working, keep in mind that this program was designed just after the release of XP. Service packs from XP can often cause compatibility issues with older software. Try right clicking on the icon for the program, go into properties, go into compatibility mode, and play around with some different settings in there. Click okay each time then see if the program works.

Thanks and please take a moment to rate as fixya.

Asus TXP4 Motherboard will not turn on

Most likely you are looking at a bad motherboard, there is probably a break somewhere in the connections. Check for blown capicators that would be a smoking gun. You can use a different motherboard but it has to be one that is compatible with your CPU. Most motherboards will come with a driver CD so you should be ok. It shouldn't be a big deal with your Operating System or Hard Drive if you replaced your motherboard. Otherwise, you could upgrade to a new system and do a image copy of your HDD to a new computer/HDD. I recommend Acronis True Image makes it really easy.

the only way to improve graphics is to upgrade your graphics card and ensure that you have enough system memory and proccesor power to run the game as it should do. If you have a 32MB or 64MB card then maybe you should go for atleast 128MB
