MY Samsung DLP Shuts off after 2 minutes than if I unplug it, it will come back on for 2 more minutes and than go out again. Could it be the Bulb and Ballast failing. I just replaced the bulb a few weeks ago

Try this..

On the bottom left corner there is a blue switch that detects if the lamp door is properly installed, if you try to turn your TV on without it won’t turn on.

I had the same problem when the unit heated up. I noticed it was the contact on the door to the lamp. The screw needed to be tight, and I haven't had a problem since. Its a documented problem.

Samsung Dlp completely shuts off and then all three lights flash

Sounds more like the TV is overheating. The lamp cooling fan may be seized or not spinning fast enough. If the TV gets hot enough to trip the thermal, it could rupture the lamp.

take off the lamp access door on the back and find the safety switch that the door pushes on. unplug the connector from the switch and put staple into the connector to short out the cable. Switch is probably bad. worked for me. same problem.

It is the color wheel, inside the light engine. The bearings get dirty and makes it harder for the wheel to spin causing that whin.

TV shuts off and then back on, power indicator stays on steady.

I JUST (2 minutes ago!) had the repair man leave for the EXACT same problem on the same model TV!! All he had to do was take the front panel off the TV (in the front) and clean the bulb and fan. He said that the dust gets trapped in there and makes the bulb power off! $100 service call to clean the bulb!! Now it is working GREAT and has not powered off since! Hope this helps!!

you have the same problem I have. The problem is fixed by changing the new light bulb. The problem appears again after 1500 hours of use. You can keep buying new light bulbs or avoid it by not buying another Samsung TV.
