When i go into windows updates i get a error saying error found code 80070005 what do i do

The error code 80070005 usually means that you do not have enough permission to install updates.

First please confirm you have logged on an account with administrative privileges.

If the issue still occurs, lets' try the following method to reset the permissions:

1. Please download the subinacl.msi file from the following link and save the installation patch onto the Desktop:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=e8ba3e56-d8fe-4a91-93cf-ed6985e3927b&displaylang=en#AffinityDownloads

2. Please go to the Desktop and double click the downloaded file.

3. Please select the C:\Windows\System32 folder as the Destination Folder during the installation. Later we will use this tool to reset the permission settings on the current machine.

Note: If the UAC (User Account Control) window is prompted for permission to continue, please click Continue.

4. Click Start, in the Start Search bar, type: "notepad" (without quotes) and press Enter.

5. Copy the following commands and then paste them into the open Notepad window:

@echo off

subinacl /subkeyreg HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE /grant=administrators=f

subinacl /subkeyreg HKEY_CURRENT_USER /grant=administrators=f

subinacl /subkeyreg HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT /grant=administrators=f

subinacl /subdirectories %SystemDrive% /grant=administrators=f

subinacl /subkeyreg HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE /grant=system=f

subinacl /subkeyreg HKEY_CURRENT_USER /grant=system=f

subinacl /subkeyreg HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT /grant=system=f

subinacl /subdirectories %SystemDrive% /grant=system=f

@Echo =========================

@Echo Finished.

@Echo =========================

@pause

6. After pasting the above commands, please close the Notepad window. Choose Save when you are prompted to save the file. Type "reset.bat" as the file name and choose Desktop from the left panel as the save location.

7. Refer to the Desktop and right click the reset.bat file, and then choose "Run as administrator."

8. You will see a DOS-like window processing.

Note: It may take several minutes. Please be patient. When it is completed, you will be prompted with the message: "Finished, press any key to continue".

Try to install the updates again.

This issue can be also caused by third-party security programs such as firewalls and anti-virus software. You can disable or remove them to check the issue.

After loading windows 7 when I try to open magix movie edit pro 15 plus I get a message you don't have manager privilages or some thin like that. It seems that the serial number is not working is this...

Hello

OK, it sound to me like you don't have administrative privileges.
Try starting the program as an administrator. Here is how you do it.

1. Press and hold Ctrl+Shift while opening the program.

2. If prompted by UAC, then click on Yes to apply permission to allow the program to run with full permission as an Administrator.
NOTE: If you are doing this is while logged in as standard user instead of an administrator, then you will need to provide the administrator's password before the program will run as administrator.

Let me know if this works, otherwise we can try something else.

Kind regards
Andrea

I forget my password in my computer number 5

if you do not run nuclear waste site, busy airport or similar, i do not see a need for password, especially on winxp which is so full of security holes that you can use it instead of a sieve.

start your winxp in safe mode (from cold start), punching f8 button during startup will invoke choice mode which will allow you to select "safe mode", go as an administrator.

in safe mode, go to control panel, then users, select appriopriate user and remove password from this settings.

reboot your computer and you should boot to your setup without password, if you wish, you can again install password.

if you put password protection on admin account, create boot disk on any of your other 4 computers with any freely available password recovery programs, set bios to start from cd and then run your computer from created cd, follow instructions and recover your password.

you need admin\administrator rights to change anything on vista. it is suppose to be more secured than Windows XP.
administrator /user is power user rights, which don't have rights to change system setting, but you do have rights to install certain program.
login into the machine as administrator and provide the corect password.
