You can use MS products (FTP Service and IIS Management Console) or a third party software (FileZilla.)
To use MS, you have to enable FTP under "Add Features" in Programs and IIS service.

I tried to change permissions on my hard drive and now I am unable to have access to anything other than just opening programs and folders.

Enable the administrator account, login as administrator and select your regular users folder and assign your regular user as owner.
Enable admin Open a cmd prompt, run as adminif in win vista/7 type without quotes "net use administrator /active:yes" Log out of current user and login as administrator
Now you should have permission to set permissions to your other users folder. Set ownership to originsl user.

How to Install IE8 in WinXp Without Administrator Access

If someone has turned off software installation permission using an admin password there is no simple way to defeat that permission. Depending on how the permission was set, either from a server that you log into, or on the local machine itself, you might be able to take the hard drive out of that PC and then install it onto a computer that is not limited by that permission. You would then install your IE8, and then re-install the hard drive back into your PC. The only catch might be that your system may also be limited against running IE8 as well.

The other trick that might work is getting a disk version of the Linux Knoppix program. You would have to boot your PC to the Knoppix install, and then use it to break the Admin Access permission. There are several issues with this hack. Your PC would need to have permission to boot from a floppy or a CD/DVD drive, and chances are that permission has been turned off as well. Any admin who has at least a couple of years experience knows about the Knoppix hack, and will have taken steps to ensure no one would be able to use it. You might unfortunately be stuck with whatever browser you are currently using.

Thank you for the opportunity to assist you in resolving your issue. Should you need further information or assistance please do not hesitate to let us know.

SixEngine.exe and TurboVHelp.exe are blinking under win7 user in the bottom task bar. No problem under administrator. I can get rid of the blinking by clicking on the twobuttons and adding the admin...

SixEngine needed permission too though not TurboV. So, though I found out how to run it as admin, it's useless so I just uninstalled it.

I wouldn't want turboV to run without prompt: so anyone could adjust system voltages. If this is what turboV does, no way, and mine sadly doesn't need permission to run. Fortunately, I am the only user.

Conflicting User profiles when using Internet Explorer in WinXP

This is because the other user must have been the administrator. Administrative user can control the settings of other user. He must give permission to the other user which is given by default. But if its not, then options will be very limited to the other user. Access to surf the net and other access options can be given through the administrator.

Good luck!

I can't open the Lumix Simple Viewer program.

You are probably running Windows Vista, you will need to log in as the administrator on your machine. If you google "How do I become the administrator on my vista system" you will find several solutions to this problem. :)

Good luck!
