The battery is empty, replace it yourself or take it to a local watch repairer / dealer, he or she will probably charge you around 5 $ for the new battery and replacing it.

I have an automatic raymond weil geneve watch with the yellow chrono, that is less than 2 years old which has stopped working. I wind and wind and nothing. Help please.

this sounds like one of the wheels of the watch movement is broken or else the movement itself needs to be cleaned and oiled up.

I have a watch which I use sparingly for less than two years. The watch stopped working even with a new battery.

mcdevito75 here, Sometimes not useing a watch is just as bad as over use. Try to set the time and move the hands around a bit, the mechanism is most likely a little stiff, you can also try to tap the watch with something that won"t hurt the finish, (Handle of a Steak knife) at the 2--and 4 O"clock position on the watch and at the 9 O"clock position on the watch caseing not the crystal (glass)

Top half of watch stopped. Bottom half still working

The first thing to check is the battery. After 18 months it could be weak or each of the movements may use a separate battery. Take it to a watch shop or jeweler and have it tested.

New watch not working

I would go and get the battery replaced. Watches will run off the battery even when sitting on the shelf in the stores. Replacement are usually less than $10 at the mall or check a jewelry store.

Sounds like the solar back up cell needs to be replaced. You can get it repaired for rather cheap less that $30(US). You can contact www.casiosalesandservice.com to have it serviced. 877.659.0761

Mens Relic watch stopped working after battry change

I suggest that your watch has an oxidized contacts and electricity can not reach the movement.
Do as folloes:
Take out the batttery,
Clean (scrape) all battery related contacts till they are shiny (use hardened steel needle for that),
Use the dust blower to get rid off any tiny dust and dirt particles after cleaning,
Refit the battery back.
Now your watch should work again.
If all written above do not help, then there is a problem with your watch and you will need the help of the watchmaker.
Do not forget to rate, please.

Automatic Watch Stops

There can be hundereds of causes why your watch isn't working properly, so, I'll not name them.
One is clear- without help of skilled watchmaker your watch will NEVER work properly.
NOTE: It may sound very strange, but mechanical watches do NOT like to be left without job.
Next time you decide to leave mechanical watch aside for long time- do not forget to wind it up once in a 2-3 days even if you are not wearing it.
This will help to prolong watch movements life and keep timekeeping steady and accurate.

My Fossil watch, a basic Big Tic model, has stopped working. I guess it's a dead battery problem. Any ideas where I can buy a replacement, or will jewellers stock them? Thank you in advance for any help...

Pretty much any place that changes watch batteries can help. I usually get mine replaced at the department store, but there are places out there that specialize in this and are probably less expensive.
