Question about Sylvania Televison & Video
My 13" Sylvania flat screen sound keeps going off slowly until no sound within 10 min. of having the tv on. I turn the tv off for just 1/2 min, turn back on and the sound is good and loud for maybe 5 min. And this goes on and on.
Then other days the tv will just turn off all by itself. I turn it back on, all is good and within 5 10 15 or so minutes it will turn off by itself again. Don't see were there is any timer on so it cant be that.
Other then that the picture is fantastic. This TV is only 2-3 years old.
Check the speaker/s. If found OK; check and replace the damaged component/s at its audio output section circuit board. If needy, replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. Search the site by type in the "brand name" to your device; in the "Search box at the top right of the display window of the Homepage" to get gathered related posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ The most probable cause is with its audio output IC itself; overheats.

It sounds like the driver ICs blew and is a common fault with alot of these plasma TV sets. Some manufacturers have the driver ICs mounted on the display panel, some have a differant driver board for these IC's. You will need to take the set in and have it looked over and hopfully the display drivers is part of the complete panel. Good Luck

Yes your inverter is bad, I have the same problem my set is about 1 and 1/4 years old. Because Olevia makes a terrible product there inverters are attached directly on to the panel, which means they will only sell the inverter along with the panel i.e $700+ to replace + $100 dollars labor if u don't know how to fix it ur self. I am currently searching to find the manufacture that makes the inverters because olevia will not disclose that information. I believe it is darfon, if so the inverter should cost about $150-200 depending. If you dont believe you can fix it ur self ur best bet is try and sell the set for scrap take ur $100 or so dollar and buy a quality product! Oh and dont call there support they will tell 10 different things before u find out this long for seen truth!

Do you know if i can use an inverter from any LCD tv, or does it have to be specific to that model? I was thinking about taking an inverter from another broken TV.
