Just terminate the ones coming from unit- common / red-r

yellow/blue-y
if you terminate the ones you have to your new thermostat it usually is ok. but you can verify by opening furnace- ac

How do I wire a Honeywell thermostat

Can I start by saying I am not in anyway saying to do this alone it is dangerous but if u must follow each step start by being safe shut off the breakers good luck here to help
Step 1
Turn the air conditioning and heating unit off by flipping the appropriate circuit breaker. Test the unit to make sure it's off by turning your existing thermostat to the "On" position and seeing if it turns on. Wiring a Honeywell thermostat when the circuit breaker is on could cause you to blow the transformer that powers the HVAC unit Step 2

Connect the red wires to the thermostat RH, thermostat RC or thermostat R terminal. The thermostat RC terminal has a jumper wire between thermostat RH and thermostat RC. The thermostat R terminal operates both the heating and cooling units, and contains an internal jumper wire. Basically, your red wire on a Honeywell thermostat is the hot wire that run. Step 3

Run the green wire to the thermostat G terminal. The green wire controls the relay that operates the blower, and it controls the fan. Step 4

Control your air conditioning when you connect the yellow wire. It connects to the thermostat Y terminal Step 5

Hook the white wire to the thermostat W terminal to control the heating unit

Hi, I have a baxi solo boiler WM60/4RS and a Landis & Gyr RWB252 timer but my Honeywell T6160 thermostat has nether been connected, can anybody shed light on the wiring connections please.

The color code for thermostat wiring is as follows.
The "R" terminal is power into the stat from the boiler control transformer. Normally 24 volts. The "Y" terminal is for cooling. Normally left blank for a boiler. The "W" terminal is for heat. This one used to start the heating cycle. The "G" terminal is for fan operation. Probably not used for a boiler. Check the boiler terminal board for these functions and write down the wire color on each one. Match the boiler colors to the right function on the stat. If you need more than this, let me know.

I would like to know how to wire honeywell dt90e thermostat which wires where i have 5 wires from wall

It helps to know which wires went to the terminals on the old thermostat, if it had one. Otherwise, you would really need to know how they are hooked up inside the furnace/air handler. Some technicians hook them up differently, but I can give you the basics and most commonly used wires. R terminal- red/power wire G terminal- green/ fan wire Y terminal- yellow/ cooling or condenser wire W terminal- white/ heating wire C terminal- blue/black/ common or ground wire If you have a rc/rh terminal, they are usually jumpered with a small wire and your power wire still hooks to that. Hope this helps and good luck!

Where does the T Wire go on the RTH7400

the t wire is for an outdoor anticipator reset. If you dont have a terminal on your thermostat it does not have to be used. Just tape it off.

Installing Honeywell RTH7000 - I have too many wires!

check to see if the B terminal is on the new t-stat if connect to it , but this terminal refers to heat pumps and is normally use to energize the reversing valve on the outside unit and not used on ac units , but normally the tag O/B is the same terminal on therostats
