Sounds like an inverter problem. If the power supply is internal replace the capacitors coming out of the voltage regulators. These are usually 1000mf and/or 470mf. If that doesn't do the trick look up the numbers on the 8-pin chips that drive the secondary transformers on the inverter to see if they are getting the right voltages.
Good Luck!

Suddenly my screen becomes only green

On a CRT monitor the usual cause is failure in the picture tube electron gun dealing with the green electron gun. The kathold is shorting out to the first control grid.

There are possible circuit problems that can also cause this, dealing with the driver components to the picture, but this is very rare compared to picture tube failure.

An experienced tech with CRT type monitor service can quickly diagnose the cause of the failure. I can tell you in advance a CRT monitor would be very expensive to service if parts can still be found for it.

Hi, I have a samsung samtron 55V 15 inch monitor. The problem is it is not displaying the actual colors. The red color appears as a greenish/bluish shade. Ex: The Windows Start button is showing as light...

Hi,
You have to check for dry soldering in the base board of you mointor. The base board is on which is attached to the picture tube neck. In most cases there will be dry soldering in the pins of cathode diver ic in that base board. It will be difficult find out which pin have the dry soldering. Do on thing resolder all the pins of that ic. This ic cotrols the three cathodes of picture tube (red, blue, and geen) is any one did not get the correct drive that color will fail to display. In your case the red cathode is not getting the drive voltage. Thats why it shows only gree and blue. This is a reular complait for crt monitors.
ok

My syncmaster 591s monitor is showing only green colour

Your picture tube has a problem already, when it goes green. Maybe you can try resetting all the settings to default, when you do so and it doesn't get better then its time to change it.

There is a bright spot on the middle of screen, of my model no 1100mb. model code ks21cnibhk/xtp

The picture tube is at fault.Since its at the center it indicates that the phospors at the center are burnt/faded & not able to reproduce the colors it was meant to. My advice would be to buy a new monitor since changing the picture tube is not cost effective

I have a yellow haze overall. Color distorted not very clear.

Some reasons for the above problem......
1. Faulty connectors and cable
2. Faulty Picture tube (in case of CRT)
3. Faulty components in monitor's picture tube base circuit board
The same problem will happen when the display section of mothrboard got any complaint

Try these....
1. Try with a new CPU or Monitor and ensure the problem that with Monitor or not
2. If the problem with monitor, try changing the VGA cable

Samsung crt 591s blank problem

This eventually happens to all CRT monitors. Either the flyback transformer or some other critical componant has failed, and the screen cannot produce a picture. It might be an easy fix, but it would be better to get a new one.

It isn't getting a steady, usable source of power, you can try to diagnose this your self but it will be a power issue INSIDE the monitor within the circuit board

SyncMaster 551V poor colors

Hi, Based on your post/description and assuming that the CRT monitor does not have any failed component(s), it would appear that you have a weak picture tube. If relatively new, claim warranty and have it replaced; if in service for some time, it may require adjustment in the Screen and Focus controls of the FBT; if really old, you may need to boost the color drive transistors B+. The second and last suggestion above would require that you be familiar and comfortable working with TV/Monitor units, high voltage and working with the unit powered on. If you are not comfortable performing a do-it-yourself, perhaps your best bet would be to seek the services of a qualified professional. Hope this be of some help/idea. pls post back how things turn up or should you need further information. Good luck and kind regards.
