SOURCE: Milwaukee universal battery charger

check the voltage of the batteries before charging. Place on the charger and wait 1/2 hour or so, then recheck voltage. If it has not gone up, your charger is at fault.

As far as I know , new lithium batteries need several charge cycles to reach full capacity, maybe 3 to 5 times.

SOURCE: Drill not working, not sure if baterry is shot or

If he light on the charger is off, then your problem is almost certainly the charger. If you can get a working battery from a friend or someone, try that and if the light stays off you've confirmed the charger is bad.

Milwaukee tool 18 volt nimh battery won!t charge

If the battery pack is more than 2 years old its time for a replacement. The typical charge/discharge life cycle of a rechargeable cell is 500 - 700 times and the shelf life is about 3-4 years from the date of manufacture. If the charging indicator lights up when you dock the battery on to the base and still does not work after 5 hours - its due for a replacement.

When I have this sort of problem, I always double check battery connections, all should be clean and tight and the cables should be in good condition. Then I check each battery under load and see if any voltage drops too much. If that doesn't show any problems then I think a dealer might be your answer. A dealer would have a battery discharge machine that would how good your batteries are.

Milwaukee 18v battery

No, it's showing that the battery is either not taking a full charge or the charger is not charging the battery properly. Find a Milwaukee service center, they will check them and most likely replace one or the other.

You could try another battery if you have on(they only last for so many charges) or your charger could be bad. Try plugging it in to another outlet. Good Luck
