Buck Stove 27000 Blower Problem.

My Buck stove 27000 has blower problems. It works fine on manual (which is too high/hot for the room) and sometimes it works OK on auto. But sometimes when on auto, it works intermittently. It won't come on sometimes at all or it will keep turning on and then off after only a few seconds and keep doing that every minute or so (very annoying). I try running it on manual for a while and then switching to auto to no avail. I thought it might be the thermostat but I am not sure if that would work sometimes and not other. Also, I think this model may have multiple thermostats and/or some sort of thermodisks so I am not sure what I should try and repair/replace. Also, could it be the switch that is bad. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

John, there are several switches on the heater,an air flow switch, a high temp cutout switch on burner housing, so the heater don't get to hot, there is another disc switch by the vent, It may just need a good cleaning throughout, check flame sense probe/wire,circuit board

I need to know where the high and low limit switches are located on a Winrich Dynasty pellet stove

The Low Limit Switch, goes in the combustion fan housing. The High Limit Switch, goes in behind the Room Blower.
Here's a repair site for you to check out, in more depth. Hope this helps!

My Dimplex DFB 4047 won't get very hot

This is an on going problem with electric fireplace/stove type heaters of all types. Not just Dimplex.
They are not designed to run for long periods of time and the heat output is not much more than a blower dryer. In any event, they take in cool air, heat it and send it back out. Over time, the heating element becomes clogged with dust, lint and/or pet air. So, they have to work harder to produce a sufficient amount of heat. Cleaning the heating element with a vacuum that has a hose and brush attachment may help. The heating element and blower are under the stove. See your Owners Manual on how to access it. Be sure to unplug the stove before trying to service/clean it.

I have a Quadra fire 1200 pellet stove insert. The convection blower does not stay on continuously. 2 min on 2 min off

It may be working properly. If it seems that it's a little cool in the room and the blower is cycling like you say then the stove may be getting chilled. If this is the case then the low-temp switch is cutting the blower off.

If the room is quite hot there may be a problem with the blower. Check to see if it has a bunch of dust in it making it run hot and tripping the internal thermostat.

Please respond with the 'comment' button, down below the ads. I'm considering a pellet stove and I'd like to hear anything you have to say about yours.

I Have the 27000 model free standing buck stove with the rear mount blower motor, for the last couple weeks it has been making alot of noise, rattling and grinding sounds. It blower works well but on...

Unfortunately you are describing bearings going bad in your motor. You can try oiling or greasing them as this is only a short term fix. The ultimate repair is going to be replacing the motor on the blower. When purchasing the next one see if they have the same style and mounting of motor with grease or oiling ports on it. These so called permanently lubercated bearings do not last as long as they say they will. You could try replacing the bearings in the motor instead of replacing it as well, how ever it is just easier to replace the motor. Good luck and sorry to be the bearer of bad news here.
