Question about Computers & Internet
I have a Dell E172FPb flat screen monitor. The image comes on the screen for about 1.5 seconds then the screen goes black. I changed out the power cord, same thing; the light on the bottom right stays bright green. The image will not stay on the monitor.
There are two possibilities, one is bad caps in the power supply, number two is shorted out transistors (P/N c5706/5707) in the inverter circuits. Please open it up and report back what you see so we can guide you further, see example fo failed monitors due to bad caps, lamps, etc: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums
