I have a stainless steel red microwave by emerson. I have had it for almost a year and it has went bad. When you start it, it acts as if someone put some aluminum inside of it.

When I start the microwave it acts as though someone put foil inside. It is scary. Seems like it is going to expode.

I have the same problem.

I have the same problem. But my electric outlets turn the microwave off. I thought it was my apt. I am glad I looked this up. This is happening to everyone with this product. It looks like target will sen it to emerson for exchange, but what good is that if is made wrong!

It may have a short, if i were you i wouldn't be using it check to see if your mircowave is on a recall list if its not and your mircowave is under warranty see if you can replace it with a new one
