The server is out of your responsibility. also, depending on the service, there MAY be a size limit to the attachments. Sounds like you would benefit from one of our shared screen training sessions. They only run a small investment of time and money, and 28% goes to support charities, anyway. Let me know.

How do I scan a document to send in an e-mail with my canon pixma 410 printer

Lift the lid on your scanner lay the photo face down then select scan document/photo it will ask what format you want to scan it then it will ask where you want to save it browse select the file/folder where you want to save it (my pictures) most common. Open up your new email type in the adress then you should see attachment depending on which email you are using select attachment then a browse window will open navigate to your document / attachment select it you might have to wait a few seconds for it to load as an attachment then click send.

How can I scan a photograph, save it and then send a copy by e-mail

First do you have a scanner? if not take a digital photo with Macro settings and flash off.
If you do have scanner and figure out how to scan, scan it as a JPG or if for archival TFF. A Jpg will show and transfer better by email for the masses. after you scan it in say windows, you can save it on say your desktop and then right click it and say send to Mail recipient. If it is a big photo and you want to reprint it make sure the scan is at least 300 DPI if your scanner will go high enough scan it at the highest optical resolution that your printer has, again this is if you are planning on printing it on the other side. If you are not printing it scan anything above say 72 DPI.

How can I scan and send a photo? Thanks.

Scan the photos in JPG mode, so that the file size is small, send it as an attachment along with eMail.

Scan to email problem

Just use it to scan the photo and save it to your hard drive rather than try to email it automatically. Then using Mozilla select the saved file to send it.

My canon lide 100 scanner will e mail scanned

The scan to e-mail uses your default mail product. As of June 2008, Outlook Express can not check a Hotmail account. If you have XP, Vista or Win7, you can download and install Windows Live Mail and use that instead. Since Hotmail is a Microsoft product, Live Mail should set up the account without a problem (both the incoming server and the out-going server); all you'll need to add is your full email address (name@hotmail.com) and password. Make your Hotmail account the default and Live Mail the default e-mail program and you should be good to go for sending e-mail via Hotmail.

If you want to continue with Outlook Express, there is no solution.

I hope this helps.

(Live Mail will ask if you want it to be the default program when you first launch it after installing (in my experience all mail programs do this). If you relaunch Outlook Express, it will ask the same question and you will need to reset the default program for mail. This can be done either as each program asks or through the Control Panel, Programs, Default Programs)

are you referring to the one for emailing? Go to your service providor(ISP) website, and look for email settings in the help/support screen. Each one is unique, so I can't really tell you which it is.
