A8N32-SLI Deluxe - Can not Load 'ASUS UPDATE' fro CD

When I try to load Asus Update from the Asus CD, during loading session a box appears saying that it does not recognize an Asus Board and will Abort the Install. I am trying to load this particular Flash Program because I can not get the Bios Updates from Asus to unzip.

Any Ideas as to why my board is not being recognized. Running AMD X-57 with XP Pro

It's not you. Asus's program from the CD doesn't function as you might except. You'll need to download, ASUS Update V7.06.02 Install Program for Windows 2000/XP/2003 & 64bit Windows XP/2003 within Bios Utilities. And flash your Bios from a floppy. Than download the Bios version you want. Having trouble getting the file to unzip? Download again but this time choose a different site. Like (Global) instead.

If you don't want to flash your bios you can buy one directly from Asus $5.00 us but you'll have to call CA branch at: 510-739-3777 to get one. Your latest bios is 1303 unless you want a beta. Not a good choice.

It might not be the right version for the MoBo. Contact the source to confirm.

Download a fresh Asus BIOS and save it in a different place, then try to unzip agai.
Write to the manufacturer for more updated BIOS program?

2nd sata connected and xp won't boot

Hi,
It seems you have not made the second SATA the slave of first SATA. You'll have to fix the jumper pin in the designated slot to make the second SATA the slave. a1d66e3.jpg

Cannot update bios, OS doesn't load

Floppy drive diskett is the most common & ususlly the best.
The blinking dash means the bios flash has failed.
Go to this link for the latest bios file & Bios-Utilities.

Please read all instructions. Worst case you can buy the latest bios from Asus online store. Click the link to take you there.

Asus laptop NTLDR missing

Hi supertwins,
Once you deleted the drive C: (You have trashed the operating system.
You're Asus driver CD will not help you at this stage.
Did you receive a restore CD? If yes you load that into the CDROM drive & boot to the CDROM.
(You do not have a restore CD)?
Than you are left with the Windows CD. Load the windows CD into the CD-ROM drive. Power up the notebook. Start pressing the F8 key on the keyboard. Soon you will see a screen that says: Please select boot device: Choose the CD-ROM drive that has the windows CD in it. High light the CDROM & press enter key. Windows should start to load. Follow the instructions on you're screen & install windows. During the install windows will restart & you will see: to load from CD press any key... (DO NOT TOUCH anything! Allow windows to continue all by it's self.
This same screen will come up at lease twice. (Just let it go).
When windows has finished you can than remove the windows CD & load the Asus CD into the notebook. Install all the software on the Asus CD. When finished installing the software from Asus, update windows through windows update service.
Good Luck!

Blue screen in A8N32 SLI Deluxe Motherboard which worked excellently-ACPI

I had this issue myself. It took a very long day of searching... but all I ended up having to do was disabling the parallel port in BIOS. (I even went so far as to update BIOS, and the bugger just wouldn't load past the Windows loading screen unless I turned off that stupid parallel port.

I know this solution is late, but maybe it could help.
