The dryer is fine. Don't waste money on any parts. The problem is the exhaust is clogged or restricted from behind the dryer to the outside of your home. Pull dryer from wall and remove exhaust from wall. Get an electric leaf blower and stick inside wall exhaust. Push dryer back against it to hold it in place. Turn the blower on and go outside to watch every thing fly out of the exhaust. Have fun and good luck.

Hi,

If you are having problems with your gas dryer not heating the most common problem is that the ignitor goes bad. Even though it glows sometimes it is still not working properly.

if you dryer is gas check out this gas no heat tip....

If you have an electric dryer, you can have many different things that can go wrong causing the dryer not to heat.

Drum turns but no Heat problem!!

Brian, if the glow ignitor comes on for a minute clicks and goes off then you need valve coils. if no glow at all could be ignitor or thermal fuse.

Whirlpool dryer model LER7646EQ1

Thats what it's supposed to do hopefully the clothes are coming out dry. The dryer has both thermal sesors and fuses that tell the dryer when to heat up and when to cool down. So yes the heating element will come on and go off multiple times in a cycle.

Clothes not getting dried

Are you sure that the duct is clean and free flowing? If the duct is partially blocked the dryer's efficiency drops dramatically. I would double check the duct at both ends and clean out as required - air flow is very important - with the dryer on - go check the air coming out of he duct outside - if it is very forceful - then the problem is elsewhere - however if only a little bit of sir is coming out - your all plugged up!.

Whirlpool LGR7646EQ0 turns no heat

the dryer has no pilot light, haven't had them in years. It operates off a hot surface ignitor.I would check to see if you are getting power to the ignitor 115v. If you are the ignitor is bad. Sometimes you can see the ignitor cracked. Did it take long to dry the clothes before it quit? If so your vent may be clogged which will blow a thermal limit on the dryer and keep it from heating. hope this helps...

Whirlpool dryer - element heats, then shuts off quickly

Sounds like you have a stopped up vent on your home, when the vent gets stopped up the dryer can't circulate the air properly in the dryer and causes it to get to hot which causes the high limit thermostat to kill power to the element. If you need more help with this visit the link below:
