Question about Microsoft Xbox 360 Controller
If wireless then your battery is about done and will no longer hold a charge (I have a collection of dead ones as well) Same thing happened to mine. If this is happening while connected with the cable make sure the connection at the controller end is firmly attached and clean. Also try the other controller USB port
