Question about Microsoft Windows XP Professional With Servise Pack 2 (e8503040) for PC
I've personally encountered this issue when setting up new Blackberry devices for clients too many times to count. This issue has to do with the Blackberry Desktop Manager installer package being corrupted when being downloaded.
It does not seem to be a PC issue but an issue with the Blackberry website. The only work around is to download it until you get one that works. I have spent up to 10 times downloading it to get one to work.
It also seems to help to disable the Antivirus as some PCs with certain Antivirus suites seem to have more issues then others.
Make sure when you done load it to save it to the disk, then open it from the save file. Also when the installation is complete make sure to turn the Antivirus back on.
