My sewing machine is not working. It quit a year ago. Model # F08-702-H-01. I don't know whats wrong. I was told it might be the foot pedal?? Where can I Find one for this machine

So, I was able to figure out it is a Homestyles machine? Please provide the symptoms. Does the light work? Is it frozen--the handwheel won't turn, does it stitch okay (even if operated manually), is the tension off, does it break thread? Give us some clues.

Homestyles sewing machine F08 702 H 01: Are they ALL caca, or just mine?

If it was purchased second-hand, very likely something is wrong with the machine or the owner didn't know how to use it. It is always best to test and have the owner show you how to use the machine before purchasing. From the information found online, this is a very economical level sewing machine--even new.

JMHO, but purchasing an old mechanical machine from a sewing machine shop for $60 would probably yield a more reliable machine. For most sewing, a straight stitch and zig-zag are the most frequently used stitches. So, if you are unable to purchase an upper-scale machine with multiple built-in design stitches for several hundred dollars, stick with a simple mechanical.

Hi...just bought myself a second hand Homestyles sewing machine. F08-702-H-01...How do i thread the machine....thanks. The thread breaks before I get to thread it

Change thread. It sounds like your thread may be dry-rotted. Otherwise, it could need some cleaning. Do you have a manual?

Purchased a HomeStyle sewing machine Model F08702-H-01, the bobbin thread will not catch the upper thread

Check the needle to see if the flat side is facing to the back of the machine. This is usually how the needle should be inserted.

Thread the machine with the presser foot up.

Hold onto the thread tail at the needle and hand walk the needle down and then back up to pull the bobbin thread up.

Take both threads under the presser foot and to the back of the machine before you begin to sew.
