What causes water mix with engine oil

I would suspect that you have a bad (blown) head gasket. This let's the water or coolant seep through to the other side of the gasket where the oil is in your engine.

My recommendation is to replace the head gasket, well actually both since you will have it torn apart anyway, unless you don't plan on keeping the vehicle much longer.

If you don't have the expertise, tools, confidence etc. to do it yourself, I would recommend taking it to your mechanic. If you do decide to do it yourself, make sure when you scrape the old gasket material off the block and heads that you do not leave any small particles in either and don't over apply the gasket sealer when putting it back together, a thin layer will do.

There are many You Tube videos to show you how to replace them.

Tranmission flush 95 deville

Most likely a 4t80 ******, biggest FWD unit GM makes. Only way to drain is by removing pan. That includes replacing gasket, and while you have it off, you might as well replace filter - theyre usually sold together in a kit. Must make sure that all debris from old gasket is clear of pan and case surfaces. Any leftovers can make for a bad seal on new gasket, causing leaks. Consult a parts store or transmission specialist for the proper dexterity and amount of new ****** fluid to fill unit after the new pan and gasket have been installed. Also, before doing this yourself, get prices on all supplies and then compare it to the going rate of your local transmission shop for a fluid change. You may be surprised and save yourself a huge headache and a mess in your garage.

Need a replacement gasket for the Cook power blender

Boy, I spent some time on this and - so far as finding an exact replacement on the Internet - I'm stumped.

But I'll tell you what I'd do, in your position.

I'd take the old worn (or split) gasket to Ace Hardware or True Value, and ask someone to match it up for you. Really, a gasket is a gasket. It's just a matter of the size, the thickness, and the "compressability" of the rubber (obviously, you'll want a soft rubber gasket). If you find one, you may want to buy two of them... just in case.

If this doesn't work, then get a square piece of rubber gasket material (Ace, True Value, Home Depot, etc.). You can either cut one yourself (use cups, jars, measuring spoons that are the right diameters to draw your two ring patterns), using an Exacto knife to carefully cut them out.

If you don't want to do this yourself, ask someone who's handy & who has a steady hand to do it for you. You can pay them with a freshly made smoothie.

I have been told that I have a valve cover leak. Will it harm the motor if I continue to drive it? How much does it cost to repai? The model is 2000 Nissan Xterra

You can do the repair yourself. Your valve covers leaking will result in you losing oil because it's not making it's way to the oil pan. You probably won't hurt the engine if you keep the oil level constant, but you can replace the gaskets yourself. It's a bit of a job, but not too bad. You'll proably have to remove the intake manifolds and replace these gaskets before the valve covers. The valve covers are just plastic covers for the valves-one big box. Put new gaskets in place and reinstall the reverse of removal.

The EA82 does not use shims. Ticking almost always caused by a failed oil pump to engine block gasket failure. The gasket slowly fails which then allows the oil pump to pump air along with the oil. Replace the "Mickey Mouse" oil pump gasket.
